> 24 hourWe bought this shaver/trimmer for quarantine haircuts last year, because it showed up as part of that search and had great reviews. We were first-time DIY hairstylists and trusted that this kit was comprehensive for whatever we might need, due in part to the large number of pieces it came with. That didnt work out so well, but Id still recommend the trimmer, just not for haircuts. Bottom line, you should buy this only if youre keeping your hair very short. Happily, my husband started using it for beard grooming, so its paid for itself after all. Its sturdy and the battery seems like it holds a charge for several hours, though I havent timed it. The downside is that it is really just a beard and body trimmer, not a haircutting tool. The longest guard included is 16mm or about 0.6 inch. If you want anything longer than a buzz cut, youd be better off getting a Wahl, as there are so many Wahl-branded length guards, and because their basic kit already comes with attachments up to 1 inch. We ended up needing to buy multiple universal guards sized 1-inch and longer, and they are not a good fit with this trimmer (they wobble and we have to tighten them on with rubber bands) while the reviews on the universal guard stated that the Wahl trimmer did fit them. I wish I had done more research and read more reviews before purchasing this. I didnt realize that you cant buy longer guards for the Philips or I definitely would have bought a different trimmer instead, and for half the price too. For nearly $60, plus the cost of the extra guards we had to buy, this was a costly mistake to make. However, on the plus side, the trimmer has worked well for almost a year, I use it to clean up the sides and back of my boys hair, and since my husband began trimming his beard with it, Im not so annoyed at all those unnecessary attachments. Its easy to operate and fairly easy to clean. The weight is good and it hasnt cut anyone. All in all, this is a durable electric shaver with a ton of attachments for lengths under half an inch. If youre buying it for eyebrows, nose/ear hair, bears, armpits/body hair, etc., its a good buy. If youre buying it to make cutting your hair during COVID faster and easier, get a different brand that fits longer guards.

> 24 hourSturdy, and it has a great selection of heads and trimming guards. Good weight and hand-feel. Easy to switch heads and guards. Weeks between recharging. Mostly, I use it 3-4 times a week to trim my facial hair and always get consistent results. Takes just a minute or so. Use the narrow head weekly to trim little strays. I also use the ear trimmer regularly to avoid that Yoda look. It’s everything I need in a groomer, and I really like using this product. No more mister scruffy.

> 24 hourThis is nicely constructed in the handle and there is a well-designed blade and guard retention system. Battery life is excellent. Guards are comfortable to use. Unit itself is a touch long to accommodate the battery, but I cant imagine that will be a big issue for many people. Cleaning is the only real issue for me. If you remove the blade or cutting screen or nose adapter, youre going to find hair in there - which in fairness is probably unavoidable. The problem is that there is also grease to lubricate the motor shaft and coupling and that makes it a bit of a pain to fish out all the hair. Small brushes that I have left over from old electric razors help, but I initially had to use tissues to wipe up the hair (and in so doing a good amount of the grease). No issues so far, but Im wondering how long it will be before I need to add some lubricant down there to keep things moving smoothly.

> 24 hourI am very satisfied with the product. The only small issue I have is with design of the handle. My problem is (and it may not be an issue for everyone) is that its too easy to actually hit the on off switch while shaving. Perhaps it should have been at the bottom instead of the areas that you are holding the shaver in. Otherwise great product and price.

> 24 hourI still havent found a battery operated trimmer as fast and strong as AC clippers but this is the closest I have come to it. The clippers are high in quality and the variety is fantastic with different size clipper, a foil shaver and a nose/ear trimmer. The clippers are surprisingly strong - mowing through my beard with no problem. The battery life can be measured in weeks so theres no problem there. The only area for improvement I could recommend would be a closer angled shave with the included clippers or adjustability. That may be to much to ask at this price. Recommended

> 24 hourBought this for my son for Christmas and he loves it. Stays charged for a very long time. Quality attachments and the trimmer has a nice weight to it. I paid $34 in Dec 22 and now it’s $59. Wished I had picked one up for myself at the cheaper price.

> 24 hourLasted alittle over a year with light use. Only used to shave my head and trim beard maybe 1 time a week. One day after charging it stayed on and would not shut off. Button was not stuck, just unresponsive. I had to pull the blade head off and let it run out of juice. Disappointed to say the least because a razor should last longer than maybe 60 uses.

> 24 hourBought this gem for my husband after I loaned his old clippers to my brother and he decided he didnt want them back. The cordless feature is nice as it makes trimming easier and gives complete freedom of movement which is helpful for doing at home hair jobs. (Which we did way before the pandemic made it cool!) We have only used it a couple of times and my husband is a hug fan of this product. It requires no oil which is great as ours always seems to go missing, spills, or is just messy to deal with and the clippers still seem to want to die after two years. So far the hair trimming has been extremely smooth and doesnt seem to catch like some other brands do making for near seem less transitions to even the untrained swine that we are. First time he used it he ran out to me thats the easiest Ive ever trimmed my nose hairs before!. Normally clipper sets arent all inclusive but this does it all: nose hair, Gandalf eyebrows, and getting rid of smeagpl haircuts are now a breeze!
