> 3 dayAs one in his 70s, I dont need all the attachments. It shaves my beard to the length I want. And I can trim what little is left of my hair myself. A very good buy.

> 3 dayThis is a really good shaver for all purposes and with a complete set of useful accessories. It cuts very well and precisely the beard and the hair. Strudy and simple in the design, I really like that it can be rinsed with water under the faucet. Great battery runtime and I like a lot that it can be also used when plugged in. Anyway, there are a couple of things Id like to mention because I found them not corresponding to the quality I was expecting from Philips. First, the product description tells that there are 23 pieces. Now, the proper shaving pieces are in reality 19, but if we count the little brush, the DC adapter, the little bag and the instructions manual, then we arrive at 23, which is a bit confusing and not totally honest in my opinion because Ive expected 23 shaving pieces! They should specify better what they are talking about... Then I found out that one must be careful when using the shaver for the beard if in contact with the skin. As Ive read in other reviews, unfortunately when not correctly positioned, it tends to make little cuts on the skin. So, to me, this is a design and safety failure. It needs to be properly re-tought and re-designed. I dont know if it can be dangerous in any way, but till now everyhting seems to work fine. I recommend this product lets say at the 85%.

> 3 dayVery nice trimmer and accessories. Works great, easy to use and clean. Some reviews noted small mm size numbers on trimmer heads. While true, simply use a Permanent marker and write larger numbers. Also I grouped the heads in 3 Ziplock bags, dividing up for Hair, Beard, and ones I probably rarely or never use. Long Battery life and overall a fantastic trimmer. Experienced no problems for months now.

> 3 dayI bought this to replace an old Remington that stopped holding a charge, and the model is no longer for sale. Ive owned Norelco in the past too, but this one just doesnt cut very close to the skin (default blade). I dont have a beard. Mostly use electric blades like this to trim my hair (sideburns and neck) between appointments. The Remington was always able to cut almost down to the nub with the default blade. Clean neck in one pass. But this blade cant do that. It does come with a shaver attachment, but not ideal in my case when trimming my neck with two mirrors (one that I hold with my back to the bathroom mirror). A tricky setup, but I manage in one pass with the Remington blade. Frustrating that Id have to do a second pass with the shaver attachment if I use the Norelco. Its still overall a decent trimmer. Will probably relegate it to body hair only, and try to find a new Remington for my neck.

> 3 daySo far this machine feels so good especially at its price point. I can go from shaving my beard to shaping up parts of my hair and the battery lasts forever. I would definitely recommend trying this out if you havent found a good machine at a good price.

> 3 dayI have trimmed beard and cut my hair and even gave it a go with the nether regions overall Im very pleased with these clippers. Beard Trim experience was nice, no noticeable slow down and nice clean cuts. Beard trim attachment is a smaller version than the wider hair cutting attachment. Hair cutting experience was top notch. I have several clippers with comb attachments and most lookfeel flimsy compared to these. They are smooth and glide across scalp. Why only 4 stars? A few reasons. 1. All three trimmer attachments [hair, bear, detail] suffer from the same flaw, they are liberally far from tip .5mm if Im not mistaken. I would like to see that adjustable as I prefer closer at times. Which leaves me contemplating if my old Wahl detail clippers still have a purpose as those can go as close as you want. 2. All three attachments same as above allow hair to enter inside the clipper attachment Im not sure why they did not design it so hair stays outside the unit. 3. I would like to see more hair combs with the kit. Luckily the combs included are EXACTLY the pieces I normally use when I cut my hair. I Use 16mm on front bangs, fade to the middle at 8mm on top and all around, I use the shortest 1mm on my sides and use the fade combs to fade it in. Not much room for variance as I believe I used all combs it comes with for hair. Also extra combs are available on Philips website at a not friendly price. Summary: I really like the kit. I hope it serves me well for many years.

> 3 dayThis bear trimmer seems well-built. It is heavier than cheap trimmers, has a metal housing, and heavier than others. BUT you cannot use the basic trimmer attachment directly on your skin. I cut up my neck. I have never had a beard trimmer break skin. If you are looking for a powerful trimmer that can trim a thick beard or for use in a haircut, this might be great assuming you use the combs, but watch out and do not use it against your skin!

Greater than one weekThis clipper seemed pretty good at first. Using the appropriate guide, I gave my unruly beard a neat trim in very little time, without taking off too much hair like I used to do with my old clipper. So far, so good. But next time I used it, I removed the guard to closely trim my neck, as per the instructions: No guard, hold the trimmer against the skin, etc. YEOW!!!!! Now I know what Louis XVI felt like when the guillotine blade landed. The clipper removed not only my whiskers, but enough skin to draw blood. (OK, just a little -- but enough.) Foolishly, I tried it again, figuring Id done something wrong -- held it at the wrong angle or something. Same thing happened. By stretching my skin and using the clipper very gingerly I was able to trim my whiskers somewhat, in most places. But not enough, and who needs the drama? My old clipper did this job easily. Could be the new clipper is just a lot sharper, which it should be, or maybe my neck skin is too loose. Whatever, if you buy this and try for a close shave, be careful. Have some Neosporin handy. Its fine for trimming the beard. There is a guard supplied for body hair, e.g., pubic area. No thanks -- Im not taking the risk.

Greater than one weekAnyone else remember when youd buy a product and it would last you seemingly forever? The only reason to ever buy another one was because it had some great new features. Well, apparently those days are long gone. Welcome to disposable everything that will end up in the landfill in probably less than a year. First, the blade guards, (the main reason for having a trimmer) are junk. Not only are they super fragile, but they also so drastically vary in size, that you wont have the one you need. BUT, youll get two nearly identical 5mm guards with one labelled for body. Dont expect to get 1mm, 2mm, 3mm, 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 7mm, etc to 16mm. As one might expect with the term, 1mm - 16mm sizes. Unfortunately, there really arent any better alternatives. At least its only $60 Im throwing away instead of $100 or more.

> 3 dayThe user manual isnt the most intuitive but once you figure out for yourself how to change the metal plate trimmer head its very easy to use. It works very well on beards and even works on hair as long as its not too thick. Although this is one of the more expensive trimmers out there, so far it has been very reliable. The battery also lasts me 2 weeks or more, which is a large benefit.
