> 3 dayThe local office supply stores carried this pen years ago. I loved the way it wrote and bought pens in all color inks. For some reason, these pens are no longer carried in brick & mortar stores, so I get them from Amazon. Thank you, Pilot, for still making them. Everyone at work loves them, too, and borrows them often, which is why I have to keep buying them. They disappear long before the ink runs out. Smooth writing tip and fast drying ink.

> 3 dayIve been a professional writer for 26 years, and for my money, this is the best pen Ive ever used. Skip free and so extremely fluid, its more like writing with a brush than a pen. And from a design perspective, the V Ball is simple, attractive, functional and very comfortable - a solid performer. Show me any Waterman or Mont Blanc that even comes close, and Ill buy it. But in the interim, at less than two bucks a pop, the Pilot V Ball sets the gold standard for everything a great pen should be. UPDATE: A tragic single flaw. Apparently these pens must be pressurized (probably explains why they flow so smoothly). As a result, DO NOT TAKE THESE ON AN AIRPLANE. Again, just speculating, but it seems that they most blow a seal . . . resulting in a leaky mess thats tough to impossible to clean. White shirts and frilly blouses - be afraid. Be very afraid. ;-) Despite that - I stand by every letter in my first two paragraphs. Absolutely fabulous pens.

> 3 dayI know this is only a pen, and not usually worthy of a review, but these pens are awesome. Been using these pens almost exclusively for 5 years. The amount of ink in these is outstanding. They take forever to run out. I usually end up losing the pen well before it runs out of ink. These pens are tough. I forgot I had one if these pens in the pocket of my work shirt before I ran it through the washer and dryer. When I took the shirt out there was no signs that the pen leaked on the shirt. The area where the fingers grip seems to be a place where the ink likes to drip into. This only seem to happen if the pen is sitting in the hot or frozen car. Never had the containment been breached though. The only down side to these pens is if you are done writing something, you need to take the pressure off the tip or ink will continue to flow, and a blob of ink will form on the paper.

Greater than one weekI really like these pens and the color. I think they write very smooth and consistent for the most part. Why the 3 stars is I do a lot of standing at work. I have accidentally dropped a few on the floor and they stop writing smoothly afterwards. I am not sure what causes this but I still think they are a good product overall.

Greater than one weekI have been using this pen for close to 20 years now and have tried many others in that period. I have never encountered another pen with the same rolling smoothness and balance in my hand. I used to buy them at Staples all the time, but now have to order it there. I just came across this on Amazon, and while I wish they hadnt changed the barrel marking to this conspicuous large font, Im presuming it is the same pen Ive loved all these years. Writing quality: Very smooth and consistent. Tends to bleed through thinner papers but, thats because the ink is so consistent. Its listed as a rollerball, but it doesnt have the dead spots in a line one expects of a rollerball such as bic. I also notice that needlepoints tends to get stuck on paper. I hate needlepoints. This pen rolls across different types of papers smoothly, and will also not pool in one spot very easily. Comfort: I think its the perfect size and shape. Its shorter than the traditional or Bic brand size, which gives me a great balance when writing. I also like the stiffness of the barrel, and the clear plastic around where your fingers grip are just the right size. The material gives good tacky grip. I will never be able to write again if they stop selling this pen!
