Use them for a removable stake side trailer. One for each corner. heavy duty, Does the job... Have been on the trailer for four years. Zinc plating keeps them from corroding... Still shiny....

The only thing that bothers me about the upper lock is that the handle could accidentally come open. I’m not saying that it has happened but I see the potential of hitting a bump in the road or going over a bad railroad track and they bounce open and come unlocked. The arm is just hanging there with nothing holding it down. I’m working on a way to add a security measure so they won’t pop open. I gave it four stars for that reason. Otherwise a great product. Very heavy duty metal. Easy to install. I did use 3/8”x1 1/4 “ lag screws to install mine as the bolts that came with it would not work for my application.

Used it for a trailer gate frame. Very easy to install and does not move at all during travel.

Easy to install. 3/8 bolts / washers / locknuts not included in kit. Works great to keep my trailer sides all together. Will buy again.

My trailer is small & simple, folding tilt deck. This item is rather large & although it is over kill, they are worth modifying my trailer to cater for them as the convenient. Tailgate taking on & off is a breeze. You can buy these singly or multiple, I purchased a 2 pack & I got two, one for each side of the tailgate. I guess if I had to find a down side, it would be the lack of the possibility of a lock.

I have a 4x8 trailer that I wanted to secure the back drop gate to the sides. For home trailer use, this might be a tad of an overkill but it will outlast a couple of trailers! It does not come with bolts and nuts, which makes sense, as everybodys trailer walls are different. I discovered that the bolts & other attaching hardware cost more than the two latches, assuming you get locking nuts or lock washers, flat washers, and the bolts. These latches are beyond top quality for home use, and I suspect commercial use too. The price is well within my budget.
