PlayStation PULSE 3D Wireless Headset – Midnight Black

I replaced my old Black and Blue Sony headset and these are on par with the older ones. They have some additional settings to adjust sound up and down which is nice. They fit well too as I have a bigger head. I generally cannot wear headsets for long periods of time without getting headaches. These are a good fit for me.

I Love it

The sound quality is good and the mic is okay. The material on the ears is soft, but not very comfortable. They’re also a bit small and my ears hurt after wearing them for a while. I think for the price, you can get much better wired headphones. But for wireless, its okay.

For the price point the pulse headset is a good buy considering how often you replace headsets. It does take some audio level adjusting for game/chat which is normal. Both the power and mute button been upgraded. The verdict is still out on if the microphone picks up background noise. However, players seem to here me.

I dont normally write reviews but this one is definitely a special one! Let me start by saying I was waiting for these headphones forever and finally I got them and man do they look cool and with the controller and remote the whole package is there. Until you turn it on that is, I began playing a few games and using the wireless feature on the headphone, and all of a sudden the audio cuts off. the dongle begins flickering as if there is some kind of interference. I keep losing sounds and it is never consistent. I spent the last 5 days researching what could be the problem, I tried fixing my wifi and moving the router away, I turned off all Bluetooth devices thinking maybe it would block interference. I even order USB C and USB A extentions and adapter to try connecting the headphone to that. Every time the connection would be spotty and every 3-4 seconds I would lose sound. HORRIBLE that they couldnt address something like this since all the Reddit users had the same problem. On top of that, I called customer service which stated that this isnt a normal problem. Ridiculous, I had to get rid of it since its soooo worthless. Shame because I actually liked the idea and design. These headphones suck. Oh yeah, the mic sucks too. Friends could barely hear me.
