Greater than one weekInstalled easily in Acer Nitro 5 laptop. 7 months later it has failed. The quality of SSDs are just horrendously bad. Time to try a different brand as this is the 2nd SSD to fail.

Greater than one weekI love the capacity, having 4 TB of fast storage is amazing and the lack of sata cables makes building a new rig much easier. id confidently recommend this generic 4 TB m.2 nvme drive to anyone who is requiring more storage and has a free slot open but only if they can find it for less than 450 dollars shipped any more expensive just get a sata 2.5 inch ssd. this is my secondary drive filled with mostly AAA games and mods for fo4. I have some powerful programs and media work being done on this storage device aswell. With that being said i doubt ill recommend it as an OS drive, but for anything else go for it just what that price tag. my 2022 pc build i7 12700k [OC 5.0 all pcore / e core stock] noctua NH-U12A chromax balck. > 3 dayI love it, got it on sale at a good price. Set it as my boot drive as well as my software drive. Works great, super fast takes less than 30 seconds to boot into windows. Nothing but praise for this ssd.

> 3 dayOnly issue I ran into is that it didnt initialize after I installed it. I went into the bios, couldnt find it, so I had to do it from the storage manager in windows. Once I got it initialized, everything worked just fine.

05-06-2025I used to love PNY, but this one has put me off. It never quite worked right and I always blamed it on my mobo. Would randomly disappear and BIOS wouldnt see it. Eventually, after 9mo, it would not show up at all - tested on multiple devices and enclosures. Really disappointed. I registered it on the PNY website but never reviewed a confirmation from them. Same issue when I submitted a warranty ticket; the site just reloads and you never receive a confirmation. Im really hoping they will honor the 5yr warranty, but it doesnt look promising. I ended up buying a Samsung and it has worked flawlessly. I dont like a lot of their products, but they really make great drives.
