Greater than one weekI bought this hard drive as secondary storage for my 1-year-old laptop. The system recognized it as a hard drive, but it would not initialize for set up. After reinstalling it twice, I left it alone in the computer, not adding any files. But its presence alone cause my laptop to overheat, sending the fans into overdrive anytime the computer was on for more than three minutes. At first I thought bought the wrong kind of hard drive or that there was something wrong with the computer. I replaced this drive with a SanDisk model of the same type of hard drive. That one worked instantly. I could set up partitions and save files on it right away. So far, the computer is not overheat nor are the fans operating like an airplane propellers. Based on the second hard drive, I think that this PNY hard drive is a dud. Spend more money and get a better brand.

> 3 dayI have been purchasing Crucial or usually Samsungs 970 EVO plus but never PNY for SSDs. I was pleasantly surprised with this ones performance, which is $20 cheaper than the rest. So far it has been performing well with all my benchmarks installation was a breeze.

> 3 dayI have bought this drive ti use in external TB3 enclosure. It works perfectly. Of course you cannot get full speed out of it with external SSD, but still pretty fast!

Greater than one weekI bought this for a new PC build. Its running on a Asus ROG Strix B460-H gaming motherboard and a i7-10700KF. I have added two images showing the speeds. One from CrystalDisk and the other UserBenchMark website. Using CrystalDiskInfo i was getting temperatures at 44C. My motherboard has a heat-sink that sits on the top of this.
