Greater than one weekThis works nicely with Alexa and Echoes, and the price is great. The setup is easy, but I wanted this to control a bedside lamp. The problem was that this is so large that combined with the lamp plug, I have to move the nightstand a good two inches further away from the wall than it was before. I will put a flat plug on the lamp, but it will still be further than I wanted. Other than that and in use for items where there are no space constraints, it works very well. We also were able to use it on a lamp that plugs into our media cabinet and it works great from inside an enclosed cabinet. I wish that they were a bit smaller but still a very good set to purchase. > 3 dayThese are not the first Porik mini smart plugs I’ve ordered. I have four of these configured to control old-school electric fans in my home. They are so handy and easy to use that I decided I needed a couple more for fans in other rooms. Not only do these turn the appliances on and off (when summer is over, I’ll probably use them for other appliances and non-smart lamps), but you can set timers or schedules with them. I already had the Osaio app on my phone and tablet, so this was easy enough. I did have a bit of difficulty adding these two new WiFi plugs when my tablet was connecting through my WiFi extender. I may have had the same difficulty last time. I changed to the main network router, made sure the new plugs were in visual range of the router, and also, as the manufacturer recommends, kept the device with the app pretty close (within about a yard) to the smart plugs. That worked easily. Once they’re recognized/registered, you can move them to more distant outlets within the range of your WiFi. The app recommended that I update the firmware on the plugs once they were recognized, which was quick and easy. You can initially name the plugs through the app, and when I placed them in the outlets where I’ll be using them, I renamed them so I knew what they were controlling. I’ve included a number of screen captures. The Osaio app is good—not all manufacturer WiFi apps are great, but I’ve never had a problem with this one. That said, I also use Google Home to control these plugs because it consolidates my smart bulbs, too. So when I’m done for the night and getting into bed, I use Google Home to power down everything—though sometimes I use the timers on one or two of these plugs to keep the fans going for another hour or two. I’ve just become addicted to the smart home devices and these Porik plugs work really well. The app, as mentioned, is a good one; the size of the plugs is compact (though if you have these in a standard outlet, you’re not going to be able to plug anything huge in the outlet above or below it—but there are ways around that, like an extension cord for the other thing); and these are priced VERY reasonably. My home keeps getting smarter. I wish I could say the same for myself. Though… these are a very SMART purchase

Greater than one weekFor about $5 per plug/socket, you cant go wrong with these smartplugs. I was a little worried that the instruction sheet mentions installing yet another app called Osaio to control this plug. However like the listing states, the SmartLife app works with this as well. I already have several plugs that use that app and didnt want to register yet another app. I used Insteon devices for years, but the company went belly up so I ended up replacing them all with other brands. Insteon requires a hub and recently a new company bought them out but now charges a yearly fee for connectivity. As with most smartplugs during setup, you have to change your network on your phone to 2.4GHz as it will not connect at 5GHz. Once it is set up, you can change the network back to 5GHz. These plugs will not allow side by side plug-in on multi-outlet (6) adapters due to being a bit too wide. They measure 1 and 7/8ths inches in diameter. I can never get these plugs to auto detect using the SmartLife app and usually use the manual method when presented during setup.

> 3 dayI set these up in Smart Life app for iphone. Setup was easy. They control my bug zappers, so they turn on a dusk and off at dawn. Scheduling them was easy, and I can even enable Alexa voice control if I want through the app.

> 3 dayI dont think it was the product that was the problem, but the OSAIO app. that was associated with outlets. Every couple of weeks they had to be reprogrammed. Then they didnt like being associated with Alexa and that was enough. There landfill now.

> 3 dayThese are physically large. Both in width and depth. A little over an inch deep, and a little under 2 inches in diameter. When you add the plug, you have a fair distance from the wall to the end of the plug. Ignore the programming instructions in the insert. You do not need the OSAIO app, instead download Smart Life app and use that. BE SURE YOUR DEVICE IS on 2.4 GHz when programming. The Smart Life app will walk you through install, I had to use the manual version, it would not find them automatically. The Smart Life app will also allow you to connect it to Alexa or Google, do realize it takes a minute or two once connected for the voice commands to work.

> 3 dayBought two in August 2022. I run it on my phone with the Osaio app. One is still working well in March 2023. Very useful because I can remotely turn on a window air conditioner unit (manual on off, no thermostat) in a second property I own while Im two hours away, and cool the place down before I or a guest arrive. Even better, I can turn it off remotely if I forget, and save electricity. However, the second plug which I used as a timer for a light never seemed to work right. There was no test mode for the timer, and it failed after about 3 months and ceased receiving signal from the Osaio software. I asked for a replacement under the warranty twice and have had no response after several days. UPDATE: 3 weeks later, Porik has not responded to my request for a warranty replacement. This company has no viable contact information; just a facebook and IG pafe, no email or call in number and fake pictures with bad English captions. Their warranty is therefore worthless.
