> 3 dayI received one as a gift and really loved it. In return I purchased one for a coworker (beige) and the umbrella came as a green color. I love the umbrella however you must hold it perfectly straight or water drips through the vents.

Greater than one weekWhen I first opened it up I was impressed. It LOOKED quite sturdy. After using once I was happy with it. The second time didn’t go so well. A 10-15 mile wind got under it, inverted it and destroyed it. It happened on a busy street too so I was the laughing stock. The “sturdy” skeleton turned out to be made of black brittle plastic, I had thought they were metal. The plastic pieces snapped. The so called vents are so tight they don’t let any air through to relieve the pressure and so the umbrella inverts and brakes the plastic parts before the vents release pressure. Another product designed to LOOK sturdy but will soon end up in a landfill. If you live in an area with no wind, it might last longer than it did for me. Back to my 5.00 umbella that I bought in 1995 that is on its last leg but is a lot sturdier than this.

Greater than one weekI typically buy large golf sized umbrellas since I work on a large base and the employees garage is nowhere near my office building. So I want to make sure my laptop bag and I are completely covered in a storm. Ive had a few of my so-called heavy duty wind proof umbrellas invert on me and break and I was on the hunt for a new umbrella. I wanted one that was still big to cover me and my stuff, but also small enough when collapsed so I could travel with it and not have a bulky item. This fit perfectly in my carry-on without getting in my way of anything. It stormed where I was with my toddler so I was able to pull it out quickly and it covered both of us. The wind was blowing so hard I thought it might flip out like the others but it didnt. The vents in the top is better designed and the the rotating umbrella helped keep it stable and not break or bend when we accidentally brushed against something (more like someone for how packed it was) and we came out unscathed. Both my toddler and I cameout mostly dry (except for the puddle she decided needed some jumping in to) and made me feel this is the best umbrella Ive ever owned. Now I need to order one for my mother.

Greater than one weekWind-proof was in the title of the umbrella. I live in Los Angeles and had ONE rainy day where I decided to use my umbrella to walk to the post office. This was my first time using the umbrella. I was wrestling with this thing the whole way like an untamed tiger because whenever it would fall against the direction of the wind, it would pop inside out like the photos in the other review. I was left walking with it always pointed towards the direction of the wind instead of on top of me! I don’t know how strong the wind was that day, but not unusual at all for a rainy day! Going to return.
