> 3 dayMaybe wind proof but cannot stand the simple opening up. I bought this umbrella 11 months ago. I used it a few times and i liked it. BUT today it abandoned me in a terrible way. It was heavily raining with snow in the city, I left home with this umbrella which was working first but when i walked out of the subway and tried to open it it did not opened. It broke at the top of the rod, as you can see it on photos other unhappy customers posted. I just cannot understand that this problem happened so many times before why the company is not calling back the product, or try to address this issue. Umbrellas are dying in bad circumstances like very strong winds BUT in plain rain with no wind, by just by pressing the opening button it is ridiculous. I truly liked this umbrella till it was working, but now seeing what happened i have no trust in it, so i have to spend some time to figure out what to replace it with. Thank you for another disappointment, and flushing money down the drain.

> 3 dayThis seems to be a well designed and well made umbrella with one fatal flaw. The automatic open/close button is located where you have to grip the umbrella tightly because it is pretty heavy. But the button doesnt take much pressure to acitvate, so every time you use the umbrella you will end up accidentally hitting the close button and it will fold up and dump water on you during a rain storm. To make it worse, you have to completely collapse and re-latch the umbrella to make the button work again to reopen the umbrella, so you get extra soaked. Just a plain old open button with a separate release when you want to close the umbrella would work much better. There is no discernible benefit for an auto-close function and it causes all of the problems described above.

> 3 dayWhen I first opened it up I was impressed. It LOOKED quite sturdy. After using once I was happy with it. The second time didn’t go so well. A 10-15 mile wind got under it, inverted it and destroyed it. It happened on a busy street too so I was the laughing stock. The “sturdy” skeleton turned out to be made of black brittle plastic, I had thought they were metal. The plastic pieces snapped. The so called vents are so tight they don’t let any air through to relieve the pressure and so the umbrella inverts and brakes the plastic parts before the vents release pressure. Another product designed to LOOK sturdy but will soon end up in a landfill. If you live in an area with no wind, it might last longer than it did for me. Back to my 5.00 umbella that I bought in 1995 that is on its last leg but is a lot sturdier than this.

Greater than one weekLove that it fits in my backpack. The button to expand and un expand is amazing. I like that the umbrella is as wide as those big long obnoxious umbrellas. Less bulky and the carrying case (plus the hook) work like a charm. Used it on a rainy windy day and the umbrella stayed sturdy and did not open up like other flimsy umbrellas do(super embarrassing happened too many times to me) I finally got a good one. I’ll definitely buy more for the whole family.
