Greater than one weekIn all honesty this really wont do anything a jumper wire and a test light wont do.. but it is wrapped up in a pretty convenient package. I like how it can be used to easily activate circuits and its a pretty cool tool to have.

Greater than one weekWOW this is a must-have for anyone who works on older cars or bikes. 1980 CM400T (honda) wasnt getting power , without this tool I wouldnt be able to test the components to make sure they are ok and wouldnt be able to rule out potential issues this quickly. I have to make a video to show how wonderful this tool is. You can throw (-) or (+) to the tip and test to see if the lights are working, ground is getting good ground, and sensors are operational.

Power Probe 3
Power Probe 3 uses a 20ft cable which attaches to the vehicle’s battery, allowing the user to perform an electrical test anywhere in, or around the vehicle.
The PP3 is a Voltmeter and Continuity Tester, with Audible & Visual indicators along with two LED headlights to light up your work area. While the PP3 is in Power Probe Mode. Contact the probe tip to a NEGATIVE circuit. The green negative sign “-” LED will light. If the audio feature is turned on, a low pitched tone will sound. |
While the PP3 is in Power Probe Mode, contact the probe tip to a POSITIVE circuit. The red positive sign “+” LED will light and the voltage reading of the circuit will be indicated on the LCD display. If the audio feature is turned on, a high pitched tone will sound. |
1. Connect the PP3 to a good battery. 2. Clip the auxiliary ground clip to the trailer ground. 3. Probe the contacts at the jack and then apply voltage to them. This lets you check the func-tion and orientation of the connector and trailer lights. If the circuit breaker tripped, that con-tact is likely a ground. Reset the circuit breaker by letting it cool down (15 sec.) and depress-ing the reset button until in clicks into place. |
