> 3 dayThe product was every bit as good as described. It makes finding electrical problems easier than anything Ive used before. The first time I used it I saved a couple hundred dollars. A shop told me I needed all four oxygen sensors replaced and a new window switch. It turned out being a short in both circuits and didnt cost me a cent to fix. It made finding the problem a one man job.

02-06-2025As a car audio/security technician I cant praise this product enough. I bought this tool thinking it would be a cool toy to have in the tool box, but the PP3 has proven itself to be an invaluable tool that I cannot live without. It makes diagnosing electrical problems and testing for alarm wires so much faster and more efficient. While i wouldnt go as far to say that it totally replaces a multimeter for my industry, I can honestly say that I will reach for the Power Probe 9/10 times.

> 3 dayThis thing is great. It super heavy duty, the headlight on it is twice the size of the power probe 3. There are tons of functions that come with this tool and a very easy to follow manual, also comes with a dvd aswell. Power Probe out did themselves with this tool. It is a must have for trouble shooting electrical problems.

Power Probe 3
Power Probe 3 uses a 20ft cable which attaches to the vehicle’s battery, allowing the user to perform an electrical test anywhere in, or around the vehicle.
The PP3 is a Voltmeter and Continuity Tester, with Audible & Visual indicators along with two LED headlights to light up your work area. This circuit tester also supplies Battery Voltage or Ground to activate components. The housing is sleek and feels great in your hand. While the PP3 is in Power Probe Mode. Contact the probe tip to a NEGATIVE circuit. The green negative sign “-” LED will light. If the audio feature is turned on, a low pitched tone will sound. |
While the PP3 is in Power Probe Mode, contact the probe tip to a POSITIVE circuit. The red positive sign “+” LED will light and the voltage reading of the circuit will be indicated on the LCD display. If the audio feature is turned on, a high pitched tone will sound. |
1. Connect the PP3 to a good battery. 2. Clip the auxiliary ground clip to the trailer ground. 3. Probe the contacts at the jack and then apply voltage to them. This lets you check the func-tion and orientation of the connector and trailer lights. If the circuit breaker tripped, that con-tact is likely a ground. Reset the circuit breaker by letting it cool down (15 sec.) and depress-ing the reset button until in clicks into place. |
