> 24 hourNot really for complete beginners but if you already know the basics they arent tough to learn. I went with the digital install since my system doesnt have an optical drive but that was easily done. Im working with a triple monitor setup and when you first launch they go to the default monitor, so I have to move the window. Otherwise a decent solution to image and video editing. Update January 2023: It now says my license has expired, even though this was supposed to be a perpetual license. So, three months and that was it. :(

> 24 hourI am a someone who usually is able to figure out programs if logical and intuitive. PowerDirector is. But the University on Youtube is huge and impressive in that I expect to be able to create acceptable videos in a short amount of time. Still need to make some effort and invest some learning time but they do provide the tools you need.

> 24 hourInstallation and setup was a pain but that seems to be universal. Not sure why they make it so difficult? I mostly played around with the video editing and I really enjoyed it. It was easy and intuitive and took no time at all to create exactly what I wanted. It was a perfect time saver for me in creating my lame content. I dont have to waste nearly as much time creating something that nobody will ever actually see.

> 24 hourI have been using PowerDirector 19 for a while and wanted to upgrade since I upgraded my computer. Having photodirector as part of the bundle was a huge plus. Initially, I did the software download since my new system doesnt have an external drive. The download took way too long. The site kept disconnecting and then went incredibly slow. After I installed, the key didnt fully activate the photodirector. Some of the features didnt work even after entering the key again. I ended up using an external DVD drive to install and then everything worked as it was supposed to. I mainly used this for editing video from a gopro. The software has done everything I needed. I also started trying to edit photos since the software was available but Ill need to take some tutorials to get the most out of the features.

> 24 hourPowerDirector I like video editing as a personal hobby creating some vacation videos whenever I have time and Im not an expert by any means. Ive used several video editors from PC, OSX based to mobile video editing apps. Ive been using PowerDirector 365 in the last year and Im assimilated into its processes. Its powerful and relatively easy to navigate and use its features. I can say that Power Director is one of the best editing software currently available now. The menus are intuitive and user friendly. I really like how the menus are arranged and accessible. At first, it can be overwhelming to see the many available features of this app. The way I approached to learn is to google and search YouTube for tutorial videos and theres a LOT out there. If youre a beginner, start with something basic as adding videos and transitions. Learning layers is important if youre already getting comfortable with menu navigation. Then the more exciting part of adding texts, background music, adding a voice over and special effects will be on your action list. So getting this Ultimate version vs 365 vs Ultra is a hard decision. It really depends on what you value as they offer very similar feature set. The main benefit of the PowerDirector 365 is you get all the up to date premium plug ins and effects, you get 8 in Ultimate, 6 in Ultra. For some people like me, who only occasionally edit videos, Ill prefer getting either the Ultra or this Ultimate edition so that I only have to pay one time. If youre editing videos all the time then maybe the 365 is better for you as it offers a lot more in terms of plug ins and effects. PhotoDirector Ive been a Lightroom and Luminar photo editor user for years. I can say that PhotoDirector handles its own turf. It has impressive AI-powered image abilities like style transfer, content-aware removal, sky replacement, people masking, as well as with GIF animation. Workflow is similar to Lightroom in my personal comparison. Licensing is a permanent one if youre not into subscription model and its a very nice combo with PowerDirector Ultra as you get 2 in 1. Installation Theres an option to download the installation file. Install file is not in the CD disk anyway, just the Cyberlink Application Manager app. Now, I can say that this latest offering from Cyberlink is so far the best video editing out there offering many features and theyre easier to implement. The learning curve is not that bad and theres a lot of video tutorials in youtube that helped me go through the feature set.

> 24 hourThis is very fun to use and does a really nice job of editing. My concern is that some people are saying there is a renewal fee, however, it is stated that this is a one time fee. I guess time will tell. Should I get a renewal notice I will come back and adjust the review. Other than that this package has a lot of tools and it is fairly easy to use.

> 24 hourI had used Power Director 14 for years (and really liked it) so when I had the chance to upgrade I thought, why not? I primarily use it for some screen capture, video editing, and some transitions for my voiceover business. This software functioned well for my needs: Power DIrector: -Screen capture was easy to set up and functioned perfectly. It would be great for streaming. -Video editing was fluid and would be easy for a beginner to learn. -It also included lots of transitions and extra video content, which the previous version didnt have. -Exporting via different resolutions and frame rates was easy, plus the analyzer worked spot on to export at the same/similar rate as the original content. The only caveat I found with PowerDirector was a small glitch that exists in both version 14 and this one. Specifically, once I finished exporting a new video, I couldnt delete the old content without first closing the software. Every time I tried, it would give an error that it was open in PowerDirector, despite me first removing the content from the project dashboard. This makes it difficult to edit multiple videos on a small (and crowded) hard drive because I have to close the software completely after every video to delete the old version. Its a small thing, but I thought it was worth mentioning. Photo Director: Admittedly, I didnt have any experience with this prior to using it. I managed to learn some basic photo editing fairly easily and the interface was easy to follow.

> 24 hourThis is an awesome set of software for both photos and video and has been instrumental in helping me create the most powerful photos and videos for my real estate practice. While getting to learn it can be a challenge, the tutorial and other videos found online will show you the way to optimize all the features in this software. It is an excellent value for all that you are able to do. I am extremely happy with it!
