I read the listing carefully before ordering. I even did a search on the word windows. No where did the listing at the time of my ordering tell me this would y work on an Apple machine. The company is known to produce software for both Apple and Windows. I was disappointed to Recife a box that clearly says only works on windows. I contacted the vendor - which requires you to open the box and register your product code to even get help, and they basically provided me the instruct to download this software online and suggested I buy the Apple version. So they were of no help whatsoever. I am very disappointed. Buyer beware.

I have been using PowerDirector 19 for a while and wanted to upgrade since I upgraded my computer. Having photodirector as part of the bundle was a huge plus. Initially, I did the software download since my new system doesnt have an external drive. The download took way too long. The site kept disconnecting and then went incredibly slow. After I installed, the key didnt fully activate the photodirector. Some of the features didnt work even after entering the key again. I ended up using an external DVD drive to install and then everything worked as it was supposed to. I mainly used this for editing video from a gopro. The software has done everything I needed. I also started trying to edit photos since the software was available but Ill need to take some tutorials to get the most out of the features.

Ive used CyberLinks software for years, and when you need these features, it is the tool to use. It has just the right blend of easy to use the first time with enough features that you actually use that work great. Highly recommended.

I am a someone who usually is able to figure out programs if logical and intuitive. PowerDirector is. But the University on Youtube is huge and impressive in that I expect to be able to create acceptable videos in a short amount of time. Still need to make some effort and invest some learning time but they do provide the tools you need.

Im pretty bad with learning new apps and programs. It feels sometimes like everyone else can just pick them up in an instant and suddenly use tons of advanced features, right out the gate. My husband does photoshop and that felt so daunting to me. He learned it when he had hours of wait time during a deployment, but I dont have that kind of time where Im forced to sit and wait for hours and need something to fill my time. Ive always wanted to do photo editing, but most of the software is just beyond my level. And it feels like most expect me to learn so much right away just to do something so simple. I installed this and it took forever. My computer is about 6 years old and full of junk, so that might have something to do with it. It has Windows 11 and is a 64 bit, but not a huge amount of ram. The download took no time at all. But installation? Over an hour for me. Once installed, I hopped into Power Director, read the little pop ups, and got to work. Using the helpful snip tool, as I wanted to edit some videos that I had for a slideshow, I was able to have my clips ready to go in maybe a minute each, which includes publishing and saving. I spent more time searching for clips than I did the actually editing process. All I did was snip the clips out, nothing else, then save them, and add them into my slideshow. I havent tried any of the more advanced features, because I havent needed them yet. For editing longer videos down, this thing is a breeze. Not only can I snip out just the parts that I want, I can edit the order of them as I work, add in gaps of time for transitions, or different styles of transition, and then I can publish it as a continuous stream. So no more adding in one video clip, then adding another, then adding another, and continuously hitting the spacebar in PowerPoint during presentations to get my series of clips to work. Just one smooth video with transitions that I upload into a single slide. It sounds so basic, but I searched high and low for a simple video editor that wouldnt break the bank, that would let me just cut out clips and join them together into one video, and couldnt find a thing that would work for me. This worked perfectly. My only, single complaint is that I was working with some dual audio clips. They had foreign language and English audio attached to the video. I was able to highlight the audio track and change it to English. However, it would only save in the foreign language. I didnt have time to figure it out. I dont know how to unlock the two audio tracks from each other, so I couldnt use all the clips that I made, because I needed the English tracks to make a point for my slideshow. So, today Ill be figuring all that out, hopefully, and will update with how it went. So far, this program has been easy for me to use and thats saying a lot. I think this is probably an intro program to folks interested in this kind of thing. I think that any age could use this program. Its been really helpful for my very basic needs and actually has me interested in trying some new stuff, because it doesnt seem daunting at all using this program. Very happy with this. I havent used tech support. However, when I googled a question about the program, I found 2 support forums on their website that had the answers that I needed. So thats really cool! So far, so good. Ill definitely be making more videos with this!

This is a pretty good software for editing photos, but it took me a bit of practice. Other than that, I would say theres plenty of good features, though nothing super fancy, so I would say its best for someone who just needs the basics and doesnt want to spend a ton, but if editing the photos is a more serious endeavor then it might not be quite up to par. For me, this works just fine, since the most I do is tweak and play around with my vacation photos.

Install issues and product support was wonderful. I enjoy the program and would recommend this product to other users.

I do not have a CD/DVD reader on my new computer. There is a link to the digital copy in the instructions that doesnt work. When I contacted cyberlink support after creating an account, there response was, You will need to supply a picture of the product, the disks with the product key, and proof a purchase. If you have a disk reader, maybe this is for you... If you dont, buy from someone else. Wow, what a headache.

First, I would like to clarify what I mean by easy. Ive used another professional video editor for years, and it is still my go-to for more professional videos. I also used their other product directed at Photo Editing. That software takes a long time to master. In comparison, PowerDirector 21 Ultra and PhotoDirector 14 are easy. But there is always some learning curve with anything new. Even I struggled a little to find what I needed. Being more experienced, I will keep using the other software, but I did like PowerDirector and my wife decided she prefers this one because she doesnt do as many video and photo editing as I do. It is very powerful and will meet the needs of most vlogers, and hobbyists.

PowerDirector I like video editing as a personal hobby creating some vacation videos whenever I have time and Im not an expert by any means. Ive used several video editors from PC, OSX based to mobile video editing apps. Ive been using PowerDirector 365 in the last year and Im assimilated into its processes. Its powerful and relatively easy to navigate and use its features. I can say that Power Director is one of the best editing software currently available now. The menus are intuitive and user friendly. I really like how the menus are arranged and accessible. At first, it can be overwhelming to see the many available features of this app. The way I approached to learn is to google and search YouTube for tutorial videos and theres a LOT out there. If youre a beginner, start with something basic as adding videos and transitions. Learning layers is important if youre already getting comfortable with menu navigation. Then the more exciting part of adding texts, background music, adding a voice over and special effects will be on your action list. So getting this Ultimate version vs 365 vs Ultra is a hard decision. It really depends on what you value as they offer very similar feature set. The main benefit of the PowerDirector 365 is you get all the up to date premium plug ins and effects, you get 8 in Ultimate, 6 in Ultra. For some people like me, who only occasionally edit videos, Ill prefer getting either the Ultra or this Ultimate edition so that I only have to pay one time. If youre editing videos all the time then maybe the 365 is better for you as it offers a lot more in terms of plug ins and effects. PhotoDirector Ive been a Lightroom and Luminar photo editor user for years. I can say that PhotoDirector handles its own turf. It has impressive AI-powered image abilities like style transfer, content-aware removal, sky replacement, people masking, as well as with GIF animation. Workflow is similar to Lightroom in my personal comparison. Licensing is a permanent one if youre not into subscription model and its a very nice combo with PowerDirector Ultra as you get 2 in 1. Installation Theres an option to download the installation file. Install file is not in the CD disk anyway, just the Cyberlink Application Manager app. Now, I can say that this latest offering from Cyberlink is so far the best video editing out there offering many features and theyre easier to implement. The learning curve is not that bad and theres a lot of video tutorials in youtube that helped me go through the feature set.
