This is a space saver and very efficient solution to attaching peripherals to my MacBook Pro as well as charging my other electronics.

Im using this to charge game controllers and I love how convenient it is! It hardly takes up any space and since I can just power off the USB ports instead of unplugging, the cables dont go missing any more!

The product is anything but lightweight - it is solid throughout and appears to be very well built. I havent really done anything that proved I needed a powered hub except to charge my phone in the charging-only slot. The connections are a little stiff, but that is probably for the best.

Using it to turn on and off my devices, powered by its own power supply, build quality makes it worth it.

I run a little hot so I like the option to run a USB powered fan (sometimes 2). We’re a small company and can’t afford outages so we’re not allowed to plug unapproved devices into our laptops. This thing has been great so far and I like the individual power buttons for each port.

There are definitely larger versions (see ASIN B0B79XN254 for the 7 port version, or ASIN B0B7MFMTMJ for the 10 port), but if 5 ports suits your needs, this is a good option. The metal housing is nice and solid, the rubber pads on the bottom keep it from sliding around, the individual on/off buttons are a nice touch, and the inclusion of a USB C adapter to connect it to your computer (possibly even a phone??? - I havent tried that yet) is a convenience you dont find very often. I have several computers and multiple USB expanders (the small form factor PCs never have enough USB ports), and I like this one much better than the plastic one that is also connected to my current computer. That one is constantly flipping over, and is hard to get plugs in and out of. I think my only niggle with this hub is the shorter length power cable (about 45 inches). Having another foot on the power cable would have been easier for me with the way my workstation and power source is set up. Still, Ill go ahead and give it the full 5 stars, as this might be a personal issue rather than a wider one. And in another computer location (or if I desk-mount a power strip at this location) it would be fine. Happy hubbing!
