POWERTEC 110550 8 PSA 80 grit Aluminum Oxide Adhesive Sanding Disc (Pack of 10)

These disks (80 grit) will not adhere for very long to an aluminum backing plate. Two of them have flown off -- too dangerous to use. Ive liked Powertec products before, but I probably wont be getting any more of their products.

The 60 Grit cuts through pine like it was balsa wood. I needed to change the cross sectional area of a 6 length of 4x4 pine to an octogon (by grinding down each of the existing corners along the entire length of the 6 stub, so I would end up with 8 faces instead of 4 faces.) It took about 2 minutes. I was amazed. And the disc didnt look like it had been used at all, once the dust was blown off.

I was able to stick on the sanding plate with perfect alignment.

Came unstuck

Great sanding disks! They work well on my 8 benchtop desk sander. Great adhesion to plate. Very pleased with product.

I still am using the first sanding discs. These hold up better than Gator discs which are much more expensive. Im very happy with the price of these discs as other name brand discs I think are for the most part of rip off.

The quality of grit seems good but the under sizing means it doesnt come to the edge of the plate. Im disappointed.

Nice sticky pads

I use these on my JET Belt/Disc Sander and they work perfectly. They are very well made, thick with a great adhesive backing. Getting 10 in a package for the price is hard to beat. Highly recommended.
