POWERTEC 110550 8 PSA 80 grit Aluminum Oxide Adhesive Sanding Disc (Pack of 10)

These discs worked perfectly with my sanding wheel. Could not find this size in any of the hardware stores, so grateful to have found them here and for such a good price.

These discs work very well. BUT.....when you try to remove them from your rotating aluminum disc, they are a nightmare. The adhesive has to be removed by using a wood chisel while the disc is rotating. Then Goo Gone has to be used to clean the residue. Then Acetone has to be used to clean the Goo Gone off the aluminum disc. Save your patience, but Norton Abrasive or some other GOOD brand. This Chinese crap is jut that....... Crap, like all Chinese products.

The pads are a good quality sandpaper with very sticky fabric backing. I put it on a little skew, so decided to brush against the piece of sandpaper that was hanging over the edge of the wheel. The plan was to cut or wear it off using a piece of steel, it ate through the piece of steel but did nothing to the sandpaper edge..

These pads hold up very well for being stick on.

I ordered these discs for my Craftsman table saw sander. I dont have much room left in my shop and couldnt see adding a planer. I was able to achieve very nice edges for glue-up using these discs. I would buy these again, if needed. The only drawback is you have to cut a 3 hole in them to add to the sander wheel.

They are just a tiny bit shy of my machines 8” disk. The adhesion noted is correct. No telling how old they are. So the glue is dried up. Nothing a shot of spray adhesive won’t fix. And its not a deal breaker as the stuff sands just fine.

Good adhesive...does what its supposed to do...couldnt ask for more.

They seem to be doing the job just fine and a lot cheaper than our local hardware store.
