Great solid built hook

I bought these hoping to hang small tools, paintbrushes and the like on them. These hooks are made from full 1/4 wire and fit snugly into a pegboard with 1/4 holes. Their major drawback is that there is a ball welded to the end of the hook which is larger that the hook wire itself, and that ball makes hanging things like paint brushes and small tools difficult as ofter the holes in the handles are 1/4 or smaller. Ive fixed a couple of these hooks by grinding off the tips, so that 1/4 holes will fit onto them. Otherwise these hooks are sturdy and well made, hence four instead of 5 stars.

They worked perfect in my Milwaukee too chest. I have miscellaneous discs, blades, etc hanging. While the craftsmanship might be desired for, they serve their purpose for under 10 bucks. Its a tool chest anyways, so it doesnt need to look pretty. Both pictures show where the welds are slightly off, on the ball and and at the peg end. I had about 10 that werent too bad looking which is more than I could have asked for. They are durable and

Not worth buying. Saw the negative reviews but wanted to see for myself since they were a pretty good price and thought they should be very simple to make. They are not consistantly made. Some are good but many are bent down quite a bit. Won’t be buying the other sizes available as I had planned.

They are heavy duty and you can hang really heavy stuff on them. The problem this caused for me is the single ear on the bottom of the hook has to support all of the weight and puts enough leveraged pressure on a small contact area with the pegboard and eventually punches through. I solved this by gluing a large washer to the pegboard under the bottom support leg of the hook. Now I could hang a truck tire on it. Trouble now is...I cant lift the tire.

These work for what I need them for. Good quality and finish. Would buy again.
