> 3 daySure its basically just a simple squeegie made of silicone but it can help create great effects and depth in abstract artwork. Cleans easily and feels like it will last. Certainly itll last longer than any brushes and it costs around the same. The Catalyst wedge is flexible like a squeegie but theres also solid plastic and other textured types for different effects. Sure you can find other items to do the same but these are shaped well and are easy to work with.

> 3 dayThis thing is terrific for spreading gesso. If you put a dollop of gesso (about 1/2 tablespoon or less) on your canvas, then quickly and firmly push the gesso around, using the square end to wipe up slop-overs onto the side and applying that at the corners, you can get a very smooth finish after several coats (I do 6) with no sanding. Works way better for this than a credit card. Ace!
