Im always suspicious when a product has nothing but 5 star reviews, but this thse wheels really deserve it. Compared with the 2.5 inch wheels I purchased at Home Depot some years ago for not much less money than these, the difference is night and day. I am using these to replace the smaller wheels for a platform that a 4 foot high potted lemon tree is sitting on, so that the tree can get sun in the day but avoid the cold winter nights. I cant state the exact combined weight of the platform/pot/soil/tree, but Id guess between 150 and 200 lb. The platform is easy to move, and the wheels are very easy to lock and unlock. The black paint on the wheels is thick and hardy, and I dont anticipate weather damage - but Ill update this review if I experience any. For what Im using them for, I highly recommend these wheels.

Very solid, easy lock/unlock

See pictures. When I got my hands on these wheels... everything felt good except for there is a wobble in each and every wheel. This prompted me to disassemble one of the wheels to look at it and understand how it is constructed. What I found is that the inner metal race of the bearing does not sit on the axle shaft (one narrow bearing is used... not two). Instead there is plastic barrel through the inner race of the bearing which sits on the axle and supports the inner race and the wheel hub. That means this 1/8 inch wall thickness plastic barrel is supporting the supposed 400 lb rating per wheel. These wheels might support 1400 lbs for a short period of weeks... but if constantly used... I believe they would pretty quickly deteriorate. I will likely return.

Wheels roll so smoothly, I have to lock them on my workbench since my garage floor isnt perfectly level. The bench will roll back towards the driveway in certain spots.

These casters were easy to install, locked/unlocked easily and roll with very little effort. I put these casters under a shelf rack of records in totes. This has a lot of weight on it and they move with ease. Very happy with these casters.

I put these on a 30x 96 work bench and they work very well. Are they super heavy duty? No. Do they roll nicely and handle significant weight? Yes. I am happy with these casters for the price and would buy again. The one thing I will say is they lock easy but to unlock is harder. The lock lever is short so its hard to get my size 14 under it to pop it up and unlock but I dont see a need to minus a star over it. However if you have a bad back or limited mobility and plan on locking/unlocking a lot it might be an issue.

Quiet, work as advertised. 5 goes over everything its supposed to: cords, low thresholds, and even some tools!

I built a dolly for my John Deere tractors backhoe and used these casters-great product! Sturdy and moves with one hand!
