Being a Rowenta, the supposed Mercedes of irons leave something to be desired. It drips occasionally and wets your clothes, making you lose valuable time drying each water drop in your clothes with more ironing passes, risking to leak more water drops in the process.

I have been a diehard Rowenta user for the past 30+ years and doubt that I will ever find a better maker. This is my third Rowenta iron, I replaced the one before this because it would turn itself off during use and leak water onto the garment being ironed. It had to be at least 20 years old. The only problem that I have with this model is an annoyance more than a problem. Due to the darker plastic that covers the water reserve, it is very difficult to see the level of water in the “tank”. I have to use a very bright flashlight and shine into the area that holds the water while tipping it back and forth to see the motion of the water in order to determine the amount or if it needs to be filled. The other minor problem is the cap that covers the water funnel can be difficult to open and also difficult to snap closed. Other than those two minor issues, it heats up quickly, provides plenty of steam, glides across the fabric without any dragging. I have no hesitation in recommending this iron for its performance.

I like the weight of this iron....makes it easier to use than some other irons Ive owned. Only complaint is that it is VERY difficult to read the water level for the iron due to the dark blue colored plastic used for the irons body.

This supposedly well made iron was a disappointment. While it worked well at first, slowly one feature after another stopped working. The steam button first went and then the red light started blinking constantly during use, meaning it was shutting off. I had to keep setting it upright to keep the red light from blinking. Also, it is VERY difficult to see where the water level is as that is a dark blue clear plastic. I always used distilled water even thought it is not necessary according to the description. I have only had this iron since early September and it wasnt cheap! I cannot bring myself to replace it with the same manufacturer.

This is the only steam iron I’ve ever had that doesn’t spit all over the clothes. No wet spots and no dirty marks left on your clothes. And no wrinkles left. It retains the heat really well

I iron almost everything. I iron everyday. My old one finally bit the dust and I was very worried about picking out one that would be a good quality!! This iron is absolutely great. It is heavier than other ones and is exactly what I was looking for. If you iron quite a bit, you will not be disappointed with this iron.

Great iron, except, upon using it on the 3rd time it shut off and will not turn back on...I have tried everything...Thought it may have been the outlet, No. Then, I thought it was just that it needed to cool down...even thought it has an auto shut off, I tried to unplug and plug it back in some hours later...Still doesnt work. So disappointing as I have always used Rowenta irons and never had an issue. I will try another model, nothing is perfect, they have not lost a customer... I have faith a new model may do the trick.
