Pyrex Prepware 1-Cup Glass Measuring Cup, Clear with Red Measurements, Pack of 2 Cups

These are good, but way oversized for the amount of liquid they measure. I have some Anchor Hocking measuring cups, and these 1-cup Pyrex cups are as big as the 2-cup anchor cups. Take up more space in the cabinet, so 1 star off for that. Otherwise, theyre very well built and work great for measuring and microwaving my daughters milk for her bottles.

But you cant get grandmas Pyrex, Fire King,or Hocking measuring cups with D handles these days. The open handle sliips easily out of your hand, as you hold your breath that it wont shatter on the tile floor. And Oops! Gotta buy another one. so it suits the makers because the cups can all be stacked so efficiently. And they can expect more sales Id far rather a D handle! Easy (if you like the smaller print) to read red lettering, with ounces on one side and metric on the other. I do like the shape when I hold it up at eye-level or when I bend my knees enough to see the level of water etc. as the cup sits on the counter to be level. The spout is wide enough to pour whatever quickly. But its level with the cup rim, so you need to have a quick wrist and eagle eye to stop the flow if you dont need it all. The older models had a raised lip--more precise pouring.

I bought this product to measure/make cosmetics and found it to be effective for this purpose.

I was looking for a glass container of 8-12 oz to use for measurement and heating purposes in kitchen. What better to buy then a Pyrex item. I like the material it is made of. Its very thick and kind of unbreakable (if you dont smash it hardfd !!) Red large markings are easy to read. The cup is vey easy to clean as well. A must have accessory for kitchen !

Update: These started fading within a few months, and theyre basically illegible now. (I washed these in the dishwasher.) At least the old ones waited years before they started fading. Definitely going to research DURABLE replacements. Rating dropped from 5 to 1 star, since I cant measure anything with these anymore. Replacing a pair of 20+ year old Pyrex 1-cup measuring cups whose paint had faded to the point of being illegible. These brand new bad boys are probably going to last just as long.

Every time I try to pour out liquid it runs down the outside of the measuring cup and goes everywhere.

I have plastic measuring cups and I use them every day to make my fruit breakfast shakes. Everything I need is 1 cup or less. I wanted to ditch the plastic and go for a glass cup. I found this little number and I love that there are TWO! One for today and while I wash that one, I have the other one for tomorrow. Yay to less plastic and two great glass measuring cups.

Handy in the kitchen.

I am not having any trouble with the pouring, they are working great!
