Qwikee Gate Latch for Livestock Extra Gate Protection

If you have livestock, if you have gates, if you want ease and convenience get this latch. If you want security, obviously not the ticket. I love them and have them on as many gates as I can.

Initially, I purchased a few to try on my gates and upon installing wondered how I never did without. I immediately purchased enough for all my gates in every pasture. It truly makes gate operation one handed.

Not as heavy duty as what I had, but the exact same design and works with no issue. Seems a little pricey but does the job.

I bought this for the gate entering our goat pen because I was tired of having to empty my hands so I could open the gate. It works great! Easy to open with one hand and its so simple!

The staple that comes with it (the one that you will slide your latch through) is impossible to pound in. The ends are practically round, not pointed, so wont drive into a post/board. The latch is pretty, just not practical.

Heavier than some others weve gotten other places. Best price Ive found. Pleasantly surprised! We have these on all gates that goats can access because its one of 2 types that dairy goats cant open. Arrived promptly, too.

Disappointed that it was made in China and no NZ or USA . Angles have been added to the original smooth curve. Also the quality was lesser but it still seems to do its job although not as nice a feel to the hand. Next time I will try and find some like the ones packaged labelled Gallagher that were made in NZ. . These do seem to work, and function I m skeptical about the angles as they would add an anti-gravity less efficient aspect.

The latch is a good design and is well made. I would have given 5 stars but the big staple that is for use in the wooden post is lame. I used an eye bolt instead.

This gate latch is the best! Horses are not able to open and it is easy for me to latch/unlatch.
