This is probably the laptop stand you want if you have a MacBook Pro. Its made by Rain Designs, but its of Apple-like quality and design. It is a single piece of solid aluminum (exactly like the aluminum that macs are made of), and has a seamless and simple design. Be wary of other stands out there (like the Belkin) - they are made of aluminum-colored plastic. This baby is pure, solid aluminum and very sturdy. My 15 MacBook sits on this thing very snugly and without sliding or anything like that. I can totally imagine this stand being able to support the 17 MacBook just as easily.

Puts the laptop display more inline with my external monitors. Very nice finish, and it even gives me a little space under the laptop to store some things.
