I wasn’t expecting much with the price being so low, but was pleasantly surprised. The lights on it are beautiful and the weight was unexpected. It is quite heavy for a keyboard. Not sure if it’s a pro or con for others but I really like it. It stays where I put it; it doesn’t move around on me when I get a little over zealous playing my games. Well done!

Grabbed the board (brown key) cause my old one was wearing out. Was using the one that came with my computer. Uncle recommended this and it was on sale. Until today Ive never realized that pc keyboards could feel nice. If youve just been using oem keyboards that come with the pc you bought, you owe it to yourself to try this thing. It feels like trading in a rusty 99 ford focus and and upgrading to a new base model camry. Hopefully that makes sense. Never knew what I was missing out on

I love this keyboard! Being my first mechanical keyboard I couldn’t be happier, and for the price the quality is definitely there, it feels super premium and the lights that you can customize make it even better! Now my office has a really cool and modern touch to it.

The Good: 1. Love the switches. They are not as loud as my older keyboard and feel good to the touch. 2. The light from the keyboard is very good and is adjustable to 5 levels (0 to 4) 0 being off. 3. The keyboard feels built really well and the base feels very heavy and solid. 4. It doesnt take up a lot of room on the desktop like some RGB monsters. The Bad: 1. The software leaves much to be desired and you really cant customize it without it. (more later) 2. The default presets in the hardware is FIXED. You really cant change it. For example I like my default to be an always on red on all keys. You cant have that. There is a preset you can get to with the solid color on it but it only cycles through 4 colors and red wasnt one of them so youd have to go use the software to fix it. 3. The little legs on the bottom are too short. This might be a more personal preference, but for me I would want a slightly higher incline. It isnt terrible, but I noticed it right away. 4. Brightness is global, even with the software, you cant have specific keys be brighter/dimmer than others. Now a word about the software. There are 3 profiles you can set, but the import export doesnt export all settings and that is a big problem. The main reason I switched over from my older RGB was because this one has software to be able to customize the keyboard. Unfortunately I ran into basically the same issue as my old one. You can setup a profile for gaming that has specific keys colored to your liking with the coastal light profile. And under that light profile you can select FPS, MMO, MOBA, or RTS sub-presets. From there you can customize each key color to your choosing. Now here is the big problem. I made a custom FPS one for a game on Profile 2. Saved it via the export command. Now I go to the sub light presets and choose MMO for to make one for another game on Profile 2. It wipes my FPS sub-preset back to default but that should be fine since I exported my settings (youd assume that right?). So I go import my saved settings, and they arent there. The Import/Export doesnt work!! So that means instead of being able to make custom light settings for specific games, you can make at most have 3. I still dont know if the settings will persist after a cold boot since I havent rebooted my machine yet. So overall the keyboard is good given the price, the keys feel good, but it is sorely lacking in customization capabilities. If you are like me and was hoping to have the ability to save and load custom keyboard maps for specific games, this product CANNOT do that. So why is my overall rating still 4 stars? Simply because of the build quality, the switches, and the partial customization ability does make the keyboard very usable. The macro and key changing ability is still very useful for older games that dont let you map keys via software or a settings file. So I could only really take off 1 star for the inability of it to save my custom key light profiles.

I wasnt too sure about this keyboard. I wanted a lit keyboard as I prefer to do my gaming with the lights off. I suppose I delayed for years getting one due to the price. I read all the reviews concerning the Redragon keyboard. Although I was somewhat skeptical, I pushed the key to purchase. The lights (or, why were here): Prior to this keyboard I was using a really nice wireless one from Logitech. It still is nice, but it doesnt lite up the keys. The Redragon does...spectacularly! I dont know that I have a reason to use all the light shows it will perform, however, if you are reading this and you want a keyboard that does...this is the one! Now, when it comes to lighting, I wanted one that I could program the color and intensity of the keys. More importantly I wanted to be able to program each individual key according to the key controls for games. There are many expensive ones that caught my eye but didnt have this capability. This keyboard hits a grand slam when it comes to programming individual keys! Everything I wanted. For me that is enough to validate the five stars I gave it. Tactile feel/feedback from the keys: At first I wasnt sure I liked the feel of the keyboard. I used it in a few games and loved it. But I wasnt sure I was going to enjoy typing on it...until I typed out my first email. My fingers were dancing around on the keys making clickity click sounds like Reindeer on the roof. I was afraid I would end up with a lot of typos on this keyboard and the opposite is true. If you want a keyboard with tactile feel and feedback, then Redragon is your buttercup. In regards to the instructions: They arent that great. The good news is that the operation/programming of the keyboard and downloaded software is very intuitive. Seriously, it aint rocket science. I was up and programming in less than ten minutes. Would have been less except I was enjoying all the light shows. Time to sum it up and move on: Truthfully, $49.89 is outstanding for a keyboard of this caliber. Its a great gamer board and also great for typing (even in the dark). I highly recommended this keyboard! On a side note; this aint no plastic keyboard! Whack somebody with it and youll likely get charged with manslaughter (or womanslaughter, kidslaughter, petslaughter or coleslawder). Nice because it doesnt slide around.

This is a great keyboard with pretty good mechanical switches. They arent the coveted Cherry MX switches, which are far more expensive. But they are pretty close...so much so that most wont even be able to tell the difference. This is my third Redragon Keyboard, second of this style. All are still in use, all are incredibly durable. My first of this style is still in use at home after about 18 months with no issues, and it operates exactly as this new one after regular use for that long. So I picked up this one for my office because I liked it so much. Its heavy, which is what I prefer. With the aluminum base, it doesnt move around on my desk when I type. I used the brown keys which are quieter than other types, but not silent. I still get that satisfying click. The keys are also standard, so you can swap out the keys with almost any standard kit, if thats your thing. You wont best this quality in this price range.

I’ve been using this keyboard for several months now and love it. Pros: I’m a fast typed and it keeps up perfectly with no lag. So far no problem with the costing wearing thin or rubbing off. Last keyboard was a much cheaper one and the black coating on the keys wore off quickly which removed letters and made the keyboard look bad. The only cons is I wish it had an on/off switch instead of having to unplug it when I’m done.

I have 2 of these, both going strong after more than 2 years of daily usage. The software is adequate but not great. I rarely use it - the light controls are functional enough from the keyboard that I havent really needed it. RGB is bright and nice enough for my needs. I dont do much with RGB customization though. I like the brown switches. The keyboard feels heavy duty - metal chassis and keycaps have been solid. Its as ergonomic as you get in typical keyboard format. Its comfortable to type on if you use a normal keyboard layout. Overall great entry level mechanical keyboard. Possibly higher quality than most entry level ones. Ive been happy with the durability and function. Nicer build and keycaps than the one-handed keyboard I have from them (K585 - which is fine this just has a better feel). I considered 4 starts b/c of the software, but I dont use that enough to deduct a star. Overall, I would purchase again if looking for this type of product.

I love this keyboard. Love the colors too. And I have a free suggestion to Red Dragon on how to improve their keyboards. I hate dust. You should add a hinged plastic cover to the keyboard to keep out dust when not in use. Just lift it up and youre ready to type. No charge for the idea, but feel free to send me one if you like the idea. Thanks.
