RESTCLOUD Insect and Butterfly Habitat Cage Terrarium Pop-up 12 x 14 Tall

We have 4 caterpillars in their cocoons already. The kids love it!

My six year old granddaughter had five caterpillars and kept them in the habitat until they turned into butterflies. The Restcloud Habitat was perfect in that it was large enough yet compact to house five caterpillars, lightweight, very easy to clean, and easy for my granddaughter to open up and feed the butterflies.

My tween daughter is very interested in raising monarch caterpillars. This isnt the biggest size enclosure, but its been great for her to manage. She likes the little door on the bottom so she doesnt disturb any chrysalis on top.

I found some caterpillars on my parsely plant and looked online to see what they were. They were butterfly larvae from the swallowtail butterfly here in NJ so I decided to take them in and bought this little house for them. So far its been 2 weeks and my caterpillars morphed into their cocoons. This was the perfect little shelter for them. Shipped quick, lightweight and easy to clean. Hopefully we get some pretty butterflies in a couple of weeks!!

Only complaint is the zipper gets stuck easy one the mesh when you are zipping and unzipping.

bought this for my nephews in 2019. pleased with the size and easy access. the biggest problem is that the mesh is so tightly woven (good for keeping tiny, baby caterpillars in) it makes it very difficult to watch the process. i have the habitat from insect lore and am perhaps spoiled with the ease of viewing through the mesh and clear plastic top. i will be reordering the insect lore version now that mine has so many holes from the many years of use. the mesh eventually wears out and we have had multiple escapes even with the repairs weve made. if the mesh wasnt so tight or even if this had the clear plastic top, id totally be on board with this item. bummer, because the quality of the product is great.

I raise hornworms and I put a handful of older ones in here and within 24 hours they were all dead!
