Durability is an issue. It breaks down after 4 months. I dont play game often though.

This controller is excellent with the exception of the Mode button, hidden on the right shoulder of the controller. Its way too easy to accidentally hit that while gripping the controller. Other than that, all the buttons are excellent, and the shape is classic. Definitely worth the purchase.

I bought this as a second controller for my Sega Genesis Mini 2, as it only came with one. It has a long, thick cord that has an amazing length and connects into the Mini 2 perfectly. It performs exactly as the controller that came with the Mini 2, with responsive buttons and functionality, and I have not encountered any issues as of writing this review. It connects to the Mini 2 via USB and the box claims that it could also be used for PC, Mac, Steam, PS3, Switch, and the first Genesis Mini, but I have not tried it on anything other than the Mini 2. A great controller and Im glad that I have two now for my Mini 2.

Very nice controller, feels comparable to the original Genesis controllers. Nice long cord that reaches the couch, unlike the ones that came with the Genesis mini. HOWEVER mine died after 2 weeks of very casual (maybe 3 hours total) use. It just stopped working in the middle of a game, I switched controllers and the original one works so it is definitely the controller, not the Genesis. Returned for a replacement....will adjust rating after making sure that the replacement lasts and this was just an isolated incident.

Great product. On Sega Genesis mini the mode button is used as a menu button for saving states and what not. The problem is that the mode button is located on right shoulder of the controller. Little kids playing street fighter in my family keep accidentally pressing it causing a pause resume pause resume during gameplay at our Christmas so we ended up using the 3 button ones instead for the younger kids. But great otherwise.

From a former Genesis gamer, this gamepad is awesome. Looks and feels just like the original, and the d-pad works perfectly with the corners, unless other cheap copies out there. If you like playing Genesis games, is the gamepad to get.

It has been decades since Ive held a brand new six button controller, straight out of the box, a flood of memories brought a smile to my face without even hooking it up. The real controller that should have been in the box with the Genesis mini.

After a few months of gameplay the controller stop working and it happen with all my retrobit Genesis wire controller I had about 4 of them and they all stop working

^ button controllers are way better for fighting games...
