awesome expansion to an awesome game. I love dominion and this game does a little more of a lot of old favorites. Orange action cards that stick around are back as are victory tokens! The new debt mechanic is pretty sweet too

This is our favorite Dominion expansion yet! It exponentially increases the replay value of all the other expansions through events and monuments, adding new ways to score points and several new game mechanics. Empires is the expansion for people who like a lot of new game mechanics, and enjoy mastering the art of figuring out which game mechanics will help you win. The victory point and debt tokens are very well crafted and feel nice and heavy in the hand. (We sometimes use them for other games too.)

Great gift but this is an expansion so you will need to either also give the original game or make sure the receiver has it already.

My husband and I love Dominion! We play with each other for date nights at home. This is our 5th expansion and its awesome. The entire game is very well made and super fun for just 2 people! Ths expansion has new card types which are always fun and more token earning options. If you love Dominion, youll love this expansion.
