The Renaissance Dominion expansion goes back to the roots of what makes Dominion fun: namely, the cards are simple to play and understand, but they synergize with each other to create complex strategy. There is none of the extreme complexity that exists in some expansions (Empires, Nocturne). There is only one problem with this game, and that is the printing. Fortunately, for the copy I got, the backs are not noticeably different, so I will only take off one star. However, the front color printing differs drastically within the expansion and compared to other expansions. See attached photos.

This expansion of the game Dominion is not a stand alone game. It does offer unique and creative features, adding strategy to an already fun game. If the expansion sets, this is in the top two (the other is Seaside).

Another great dominion expansion. This is less complex than the previous expansion but has a lot of good cards and adds coffers. If you are looking for a new expansion but dont want to add to much to dominion then this is the expansion that you should choose.

First, Im a huge Dominion fan - I would highly recommend the game in general to anyone who likes board/card games. However, this expansion definitely isnt my favorite. It adds a lot of mechanics to the game that I think are a little more of a hassle then theyre worth. They dont make gameplay a lot more interesting, but add a lot more rules and conditions that youll inevitably forget to apply at some point. If this is just the last expansion you dont have, by all means, try it, but I would recommend other expansions first for simple, casual play. For instance, I enjoyed Seaside and Hinterlands a lot more that this one.

Ordered this as a gift for a friend. When they opened this today we were welcomed with what looks to be damaged cards. We didnt even unwrap it yet.

Great fun, all the new cards worked well.
