> 24 hourI decided to dye my dining chair slipcovers just for a new look. Dye arrived quickly and accurately. I dyed the slipcovers in my front loaded washing machine...no mess... no fuss...voila! New look slipcovers.

> 24 hourI was a little concerned that the powder would not work as good as the liquid I have used in the past but not to worry. It mixed up easy and my pants turned out very dark navy which is what I wanted. Note: the pants were originally a rather medium shade of grey to begin with and I did not use anything to try to reduce some of the grey color. Just followed the directions and it turned out just fine.

> 24 hourMaybe the two jeans I dyed with 2 bottles of this dye were more worn out than those of others who purchased this dye. It didnt end up covering the worn spots. I had to redye the jeans, using one container each of the black and navy Rit 8 oz liquid dye. I also used an 8 oz. container of the Rit ColorStay fixative product, and with these different products the worn spots were covered. I did it all in my washing machine. I stop the machine in the wash cycle for an hour to let the dye and fixative and stay in longer and stir about every 15 minutes. Then I restart the wash cycle. With the two rinses in the wash cycle, I just put the jeans in the dryer. It is really great that you can make old jeans look new again.
