Greater than one weekI am by no means a keyboard enthusiast at all, so take this review with a grain a salt. This is my first mechanical keyboard that Ive ever used. I was very hesitant because looking for a gaming keyboard to transition to pc gaming (I mainly use ps4 controller) seems like a difficult task to someone who has no knowledge of peripherals whatsoever. Ive watched a few videos and stumbled upon this keyboard and it seems to tick every check box (that I know of) that a enthusiast might want. Mechanical keyboard? check Hotswap switches? check bluetooth? check 2.4 ghz connection? check usb c to standard usb cable? check large battery? check RGB? check RGB pattern effects? check Software? check Macros? check Key mapping? check There maybe more to name but thats all I have at the moment. You can also remove the outside frame to give the keys a floating look. The switches are cherry mx red clones made by TTC. They are easy to type on, with some type of grittiness feeling when pressing keys down. Maybe lubing the switches will further improve the experience. All of the keycaps are marked with the available controls like the volume, play/pause, skip back/forward, default app shortcuts, rgb settings and 5 bluetooth connections on QWERT keys. You can record macros on the software included in the amazon product information or thru a shortcut mentioned in the included direction booklet (I dont remember at the top of my head. Speaking of which, the software link in the amazon product information seemed sketchy because its a direct download of a zip file and does not send you to a official product site. Upon extracting the files, they are legitimate. When installing one of the software installers are in Chinese (firmware I think? doesnt install unless keyboard is connected via usb-c cable) and then the other is in English (the actual keyboard software). The software seems to work only when the keyboard is connected via usb. Once its connected, itll give you all the options to remap keys, record macros, and different rgb settings such as rgb pattern type, speed, and color selection. Overall, with all of these options for the price I paid ($64 - Black Friday price), its hard to beat in my opinion! UPDATE I took the keyboard apart to see what’s inside: Outside frame and case: some sort of plastic Key switches: TTC-KS4A Series (in my case, TTC Reds [unlubed]) Keyboard plate: some sort of metal, powder coated Stabilizers: lubed already, surprisingly. Plate mounted only PCB: hotswappable with Bluetooth/2.4 Ghz ALSO wired mode has 2 USB ports for USB pass through

Greater than one weekEdit: I bought this keyboard again after hearing there is now a revised model, however I received one with a dead period key (changing the switch did nothing - lucky me), here is a list of changes I noticed - also attached some pictures of the board -FN layer now includes Insert and Scroll lock functions, program launch keys have been moved toward the left side of the board -Backlighting is slightly brighter, or keycaps are thinner (can see round molding marks through the top, this issue was not present on the first revision) -Wireless modes work without issues now, up to 15 feet (Best I can do in my tiny home) -No software available for this model yet (description states software is in the works for boards with serials starting with 21) -now comes with extra switches in the box (didnt when I ordered the first revision) Definitely worth a buy now, though not sure why my period key is dead - probably a poor solder joint that slipped by QC and got knocked loose in transit somewhere ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Not a good experience with this one (in terms of the wireless modes). The 2.4ghz wireless mode drops out constantly, maybe because of all the 2.4ghz wifi signals around my apartments. Ok Ill give it that, not expecting a high end transmitter for the price. The bluetooth however, is very wonky: key repeat issues (one quick keypress will result in two or three characters), key inputs will not register after disconnecting from BT - this carries over to USB keyboards and mice as well until a reboot. I have other bluetooth keyboards (Logitech K811, Keychron K4) that dont have this behavior, only this board - whats it doing behind the scenes...? Wired mode works just fine, but I use this keyboard to play in my living room setup. Im not going to bother with a cable THAT long (which my cats will make their primary target as soon as it enters the house). Fortunately the RGB is pretty (the removable bezel is neat). Lots of effects in the software to choose from, but only if youre in wired mode. Another review mentioned this so it isnt just my unit. However, compared to other SMD LED boards, the lighting is very dim. Which is a shame, one would think these thin ABS keycaps would let more light through, but no. Looks just fine in the dark however, which is when the lighting is really needed. Tiny nitpick - the Mac toggle would be better if the WIN/ALT keys also had command and option labels underneath, no extra caps came with the board to help with this either. Also theres no INSERT key shortcut anywhere that I can find. If you arent going to make use of the two wireless modes and dont mind the slightly dim backlighting, get this board. The price is really hard to beat! Youve got the hot swappable switches (works with cherry), per-key RGB backlighting, software that offers full remapping on every key, macros (via software), detachable USB-C cable and a two port USB hub?? Definitely something the larger companies arent offering, and even if they did, itd be three times the price (maybe more).

> 3 dayThis a great keyboard for a great price. I keep the rgb backlight at the 3rd dimmest position, which is a good brightness that is quite visible in direct overhead indoor lighting which you can see in the picture. At this setting, the battery lasts incredibly long, like well over a week, to the point where I cant remember the last time I had to plug it in. I replaced the keys with doubleshot pbt pudding keycaps. You can find them on Amazon under YMDK ANSI ISO PBT Doubleshot Shine Through Pudding Keycaps Suitable for MX Mechanical Keyboard Corsair Razer DK SF KBD75 68 Keychron (White Pudding Full Set). I wanted to make sure I mentioned this because its a bit hard finding a set of keycaps that fit this, a few keys like the R Shift key are an unusual size that a lot of typical key sets dont have. They look and feel great. It took a little getting used to, but I love this 80% form factor. I have a laptop sleeve that this can fit into and I take it with me to the office when I can because I much prefer this keyboard to what my office provides. The only problem Ive really experienced is that every so often, Ill push a key like enter and it will keep pushing enter until I push another key like Esc. I dont think this is a problem with the physical key as it does not feel stuck, maybe its a bluetooth issue as I havent experienced it with a wired connection. Maybe I need to clean it more often, idk. Its a little annoying but not a big deal and it happens rarely. I know this would probably be a dealbreaker for gaming but you should use a wired connection if thats what youre doing. The brown switches are great for typing, Im a controller gamer so I cant say if its good for gaming. I also tried the red switches but they were a bit too sensitive for my taste. Overall, fantastic keyboard if youre looking to try out a mechanical keyboard.

> 3 dayThe first RK84 I received quickly developed some problems with repeating keys (getting multiple characters when certain keys were pressed). This occurred even when I tried replacing the switches in question. The seller sent me out a new one and Im pleased to report it works much better, so I may have just had a lemon the first time. In addition to working better, I noticed the new keyboard also had a couple improvements over the prior one: - a foam layer added between the plate and PCB to help reduce hollow noise - much better stabilizers. The first unit had somewhat translucent white stabilizers on the larger keys that were very loose, and would rattle and wobble. The replacement I got has different ones that are a solid white and *much* more stable, exactly what you want in a stabilizer. So I am a happy customer (for now) and am revising my rating upward accordingly. I will update this review if this unit develops any more unreliable key stuttering. If you have any problems like that, be sure to let your seller know and perhaps they can assist. Overall, bang for the buck, this is a solid keyboard and one of the cheapest wireless models on the market with swappable keyswitches. Mine came with the brown keyswitches that are kinda average, but thats a non-factor for me as I prefer Kailh switches and have replaced mine already. Its a great entry point into modding keyboards or you can run it just as it is.

> 3 dayI’m genuinely impressed by this keyboard. This is my first “enthusiast” level mechanical keyboard, and it’s surprisingly good for the price. The reviews on YouTube don’t do it justice. I think they updated the board and include most of the “mods” people do normally; like in the YouTube videos. The board sounds more similar out of the box to the “after modding” on the YouTube reviews now than it does to what it sounds like when they unbox it. Really good sound and feel out of this board. Premium feel for value price.

> 3 dayI recently had to switch out of my razor keyboard, and its one of the best keyboards Ive ever used. Im so happy I found it. First and foremost, the typing experience is fantastic. The keys have just the right amount of resistance and feedback for gaming; its smooth and not clunky. The keys are Hot Swappable, which makes it an excellent keyboard for both works and play. You can always see the keys, even in low light. One of my favorite features of the RK ROYAL KLUDGE RK84 is its ability to switch between wireless or wired. This is great for people like me who work in different places throughout the day, as it eliminates the need to change keyboards constantly. The MX Keys is also very well-built and feels sturdy and reliable. It has a sleek and modern design that looks great on any desk. Overall, I highly recommend the RK ROYAL KLUDGE RK84 to anyone for a high-quality keyboard with excellent typing performance, valuable features, and a durable build.

> 3 daySo Ive been typing on this board for a few days now and first I would like to say the 2.4Ghz is completely useless. The bluetooth works but there are constant missed key presses and I dont use the keyboard with a wire because why would I... Id get a much cheaper board if I didnt need wireless. I usually type around 80 wpm and with this board the best Ive done is 50 because of the CONSTANT missed key strokes. They simply dont register. Especially the space. I am very disappointed. Even writing this review has been a hassle with the constant missed keys. (Im pressing the but the simply dont register) Ive had at least 10 missed key strokes during writing this review.

> 3 dayThis is my favorite keyboard I’ve ever owned! It is so satisfying to type on (I got brown switches). I got the white one and it looks so sweet, it can be either classy and minimal or full rgb fun! It takes up such little space on my desk yet has all the functionality I need for school, music production, video editing, and gaming. 10/10 would not recommend
