Bought this to protect my new Lenovo external DVD drive and was a little apprehensive because I could not find a Lenovo case and worried about the form and fit. It fit perfectly — nice and snug, with no side space for it to rattle around. Nice padded recess for it to fit into, and a permanent wide elastic band to hold it even more firmly in place. The other side of this clamshell hard case has a zippered, netted compartment perfect for cables and my small DVD manual. Exactly the right item for me, and on my doorstep a day or two after I ordered it with Amazon Prime.

Too big to hold a WD easyshare external ssd drive. Could easily hold 2 if you dont store anything in the mesh zippered pocket.

This is a very good case. I bought it to protect my portable CD/DVD drive. It has a elastic strap to hold in the drive and a pouch to store your cables. It also has enough room to store some CDs or DVDs. The case is sturdy and fits into my laptop backpack.
