Rockford RFK4X 4 AWG Complete Amplifier Install Kit

When it comes to ordering electronics, these guys really makes it easy. They responded to my email right away clarifying my question regarding the used wiring instal kit for my system. I got a great deal on the Rockford Fosgate kit at a used price. Even though it was marked used, it only had opened packaging but was still unused as far as the wires are concerned. And those wires are outstanding quality so if youre considering it, then look no further, I did the research and this is the kit you want. I took everything to my install guy at Best Buy and he complimented the wire kit being a great quality brand and after he was done installing my twin JL Audios with the other parts from Ocean Reef Electronics (Line Converter and 2 panasonic 240watt Side panel speakers), everything sounds great. When I first got the package I could not believe how much heavier it was compared to other kits. The quality of the wires were no joke, these wires are strong and really deliver amazing power. Before I installed the Rockford kit I had some cheap wires running through car and it also sound a bit staticy, which did not make sense because it was getting good ground. But after replacing it with the Rockford kit there was a noticable difference in sound. It was louder and sounded more clear and it still had all the same settings. It is worth the buy and deal I got on it was incredible.

I originally purchased this wiring kit back in 2012 and was so impressed I ordered it a second time for my new vehicle. This is the complete kit and included all required wiring for a new setup. You wont be disappointed with this kit as the price and quality is spot on. Rockford Fosgate is a brand that speaks for itself when it comes to car audio. Best wiring kit you will find on Amazon and you wont find this quality kit for the price in stores anywhere.

Im an electrical engineer that on some days works with more wire and cable than most people do in their lives. I was an engineer at a wire and cable production facility for several years. We produced wire and cable for the DOD, aerospace industry, military and were contract a production facility to several enterprise grade network cable brands. My brother in law purchased this set when he asked me to help him install a stereo in his car. The good: Highly stranded for high surface area and signal transmission. Soft supple jacket makes it easy to work with. Gauage seems fairly accurate. Comes with 100amp maxifuse and lots of connectivity. The bad: I knew picking up a cable, by the weight, it wasnt pure copper. After doing a scratch and cut test on some strands, theres aluminum in it. Cutting several strands reveals a silver colored core or aluminum. Rubbing it with your fingers and the copper rubs off and reveals aluminum. Scratching the side of a few strands with a knife reveals aluminum. The ground wire was extemely low content copper, and where I would assume they are offseting losses from higher copper content power cable. In all fairness the packaging doesnt state its 100% copper. They just tout a higher copper content than their competitors, due to more strands and a thinner jacket, which makes it close to 4awg. Its a little misleading. The speaker cable is low guage with a thick jacket. Skeptical of it being a 16awg conductor. In all, at this price point, I was doubtful of it being 100% copper 4awg high strand cable. They make no claims on the packaging of it being 100% copper core. Its not as bad as some of the abominations Ive seen from China. However, those saying this is pure copper are incorrect. This is definitely CCA with a higher copper content than some, but still not pure. *As a sidenote, I tried taking pics with my phone of the aluminum showing, similar as to another review I did where someone was passing low guage CCA off as high guage pure, but they didnt turn out well due to size of the strands and a poor cell camera. The stereo has since been installed so Im not able to try again.

RF wire kits have always been great, and on amazon it is a great price to.

Was very disappointed. I didn’t receive any Rockford Fosgate products. This looked like someone’s scraps from an install. The quality was a no name brand aluminum copper wire 6 or 8 awg. Promptly returned.
