As a physician that cares for young children, I was asked to review this product. I purchased one to give honest feedback. It’s simple and easy to use. It’s nearly impossible to dislodge the safety device without the key, AKA Kid Proof. At first I wondered why this versus simple plastic receptacle covers. Then I thought back to playing with drills and other power tools as a child, not to mention the unsanctioned haircut I once received by an older sibling. In short, I recommend this safety device to prevent accidents with potentially dangerous electric devices.

As a healthcare provider, I highly recommend this product to ensure children are kept safe from accidents. This is even a great tool to ensure cute and curious pets aren’t exposed to electric shock. The best way to address accidents is prevention!

This product was wonderful, easy to use and gave me the peace of mind that my little ones are protected from electrical sources so prevalent in the home! They are fond of putting things in their mouths especially ends of wires (I’m sure most can relate), so I highly recommend trying this product. I had a roommate who was using my gaming system and magic bullet to make margaritas for his parties etc. without asking first. He wouldnt clean up after himself or leave items as they were. I became frustrated so a friend recommended I buy the Roride StoPower Lock sold by Kidz Safe. They said it was cheap and easy to use which was exactly what I was looking for. This simple purchase solved a lot of trust issues I had with my roommate. While I dont have kids myself, I would definitely recommend this product for any parents who are concerned with their children spending too much time on video games. This product is also great for parents who are worried about their young childrens safety around electronic and power tools. The product also includes a tag so that you can write which appliance the keys and lock are being used for in case you forget. 10/10 would recommend!

I bought it to secure a power saw that lacks its own lock from unauthorized use. This was great for a few months, but now the device is giving me trouble trying to inserting the plug. The plug prongs hit a stop before going fully in, every time. Then, I have to fiddle with the key for a full minute or more before I apparently find some sweet spot in its innards and I can insert the prongs and turn the lock.

This little lock is a very useful tool! As a parent, its hard to monitor everything that the little one does, now i dont have to worrt about the little one plugging a cord into an outlet when I am not looking! And also help if they accidently step on the cords head. Overall, a simple & useful product.
