Rothco Canvas Zipper Duffle Bag

Well-made, sturdy, not skimpy in dimensions at all. High-quality fabric, zippers, and sewing. A pleasant surprise in fact. Bought as a transporter for a nice 4 x 6 Oriental rug.

Exactly as expected

At first glance the bag seemed a little on the expensive side, but when I received it I quickly changed my mind. Im using this to store my RV mats and it handles two 9 x 16 mats with room to spare. Ill be buying a couple of the smaller bags for other RV storage needs.

The bag arrived on time and is a considerable value based on durability. The only flaw I experienced was with the difference in sizing due to outside and inside descriptions. The bag has an outside diamension of 30 X 50 as opposed to an inside diamension of same as needed by myself in this case.

First: I dont consider a $20 duffle bag being cheap. If the quality is good I dont care in what country its made. BUT I had it on two back packs and now on this duffle bag: The zippers are low quality and render the item unusable if they break. And for most of the time they will break. Same here: Opened the package on arrival, fabric and quality seemed to be fine. Weird smell though, but since I just need it to store equipment its no big deal. I opened the zipper and I knew right away: Junk. And when I pulled the slider all the way down I knew this was not going to last. Actually it lasted one time because one of the sliders didnt mesh the teeth together. So it was stuck. Return it is. This needs a solid metal zipper!

This bag is GIGANTIC. Im a big guy (61 290) and I can get in it and zip it closed with some fidgeting room to spare. I call it my Dead-Body Duffle. You can fill the bag, but be careful what you fill it with. You may end up needing help to move it.

I bought the largest size. Didnt take the time to lay out the measurements to get an idea of the size. Its like a body bag, and got that quip frequently lugging this around Bristol Bay this summer. The size was also pretty nice because it could comfortably fit 50 lbs worth of stuff with room to spare; though if thats about all you have to pack go one step lower Id say. The larger bag is bulky but foldable with that much stuff in it. Great durability so far, very much enjoy the zipper. Purchased as a replacement for a Duffle bag, one with the eye-hole loop clip which deteriorated rapidly over time. Has handhold straps on ends; does not have shoulder straps like a Duffle or come with a sling strap, though it does have anchor points for a clip-on shoulder sling.

Ive been using this bag for a few weeks now and I am absolutely impressed. I thought this bag was too big at first but, as it turns out, this bag is the exact size I needed. I use this for weekend trips as well as storage for clothes while Im on duty at rescue. This thing can hold all my bedding (sheets, pillows, etc.), spare clothes, and duty clothes with some spare room for extra jackets and coats. The canvas seems pretty durable. I probably wouldnt expect it to do everything that the army surplus bags could do, but for my use its as durable as it needs to be.

I bought this for large amount of camping stuff and have one big ass bag. .its freakn huge. Fits several rolled up bags, tents/bags and clothes. This would also fit a body if thats your thing...i have only used it for one trip so I cant answer to the durability but for the price it doesnt feel cheap.

I have a few of these in different sizes. Strong seams, zippers and thick fabric. Great value.
