Roxio Creator NXT Pro 8 | Complete CD/DVD Burning and Creativity Suite [PC Disc] [Old Version]

This product will not play 5.1 Surround Sound or DTS as it advertises! Nero 2021 or Cyberlink Media Suite wound be a better choice for a well round suite! I am running a 10 core process @ 4Ghz with 16Gb of RAM and SSD dives and the install took over 1/2 hour to install!

Works fine. I didnt have any problems.

Thus us great till you have to change the display settings to get the movie maker to work under the right settings. It is fairly easy to use but can get pretty involved to make it work right. Otherwise it works as needed.

Tech support extremely bad. I was kept on hold or waiting for a callback that NEVER CAME. For some reason product didnt install correctly and all downhill from there. Tech support nonexistent!!

Beware Roxio NXT 8 and Paintshop have performance issues. Slow, freeze ups. I discovered after buying first Paintshop 2021 for windows 10, very slow freezing up at time, then saw in the software, C++ version 2012. What I believe Corel is doing is using basically the same software (e.g., Old Roxio media Creator suites, very old Paintshop) made 10+ years ago and just doing minimum patch work to barely get by so it will work on todays window 10 computers for quick sales. Thats why there are so many performance issues I had and so many others. It is misleading and dishonest. Corel needs to do a complete programming overhaul on these software with updated programing code versions. Instead of doing the minimum so not have to invest in rewriting the software so it is truly compatible with todays systems as they advertise. Software is not fully compatible, that is why there are problems. Its like the old trick of cleaning and painting the engine of an old used care so you dont see the oil leaks. Very disrespectful. Giving old crap and selling it as new. Sleezy!

Roxio Creator NXT Pro 8 | Complete CD/DVD Burning and Creativity Suite is a perfect software. Ive used Roxio Creator for years and each upgrade gets better than the one before. When you do a lot of video and photograph manipulation, this is the product for you. Its all in one.

Roxio software would not backup my Turbo Tax tax return files because the name length exceeded 106 characters. This is a very old problem, fixed years ago by other software. Roxio does not have any info within last 5 years on this problem. There is a lack of documentation and of user Q and A type pages on the product that are categorized and searchable. The company is living off its reputation. The software works erratically. You have to turn off antimalware including Windows own to get it to work in a reasonable period of time. It doesnt tell you this. This is often true, and you have to have learned this over the years. I wonder how people who are not full time professionals manage in cases like this. This company doesnt care about them. The interface is extremely poor and you have to be very experienced with Roxio and other programs for many years to figure it out. You need a deep programming shop level culture to get this program to work. The current interface is worse than the old one and less easy to use and figure out. You are burning cash not disks when you buy this product. There are freeware programs that are not limited by the file length for backing up Turbo Tax and other critical files. How would Turbo Tax use my prior year return if I depended on this product for backup?

I have been around computers for a lengthy time and have been using different programs to save and create my programs that I have from photos and other things which I like to have. This program is up to date and brings forth all the necessary tools to present those things which you want to save, share, and display on your websites. Easy to use, great instructions, and just the right thing which does not take up too much space in your computer. I highly recommend this program since it is current, uses your imagination, and allows you to learn new techniques!

If you are unfortunate enough to get this product installed on your computer it is likely that you will regret it almost immediately. It is the Facebook of software, constantly popping up ads to try and get you to buy more things that you do not need. After the third time in less than an hour that a popup sale appeared I removed it completely from my computer. Roxio used to be a solid brand. That was more than ten years ago. Times have changed. Avoid this product like the plague unless you enjoyed being constantly prompted to buy things you do not need and probably do not even want.
