> 3 dayIve been using mechanical keyboards for quite some time. I generally prefer full-size keyboards, complete with the numeric keypad, but these obviously take up some extra room on my desk. For some tasks (video editing, photoshop work, etc.) I need a bit more desk space for other devices, and so a small keyboard seemed like it might do the trick. Im not a fan of any of the color schemes, but I went with the Lava Brown because I prefer darker keys. The knob on the side looks ridiculous and out of place. Connectivity was fine in any of the modes (at least, on a Windows 11 PC... I didnt try it on a Mac). I used it in wireless as this is a only sometimes keyboard for me and I dont want to play with wires all the time. Key feel and response is excellent. Has a nice sound to it that isnt annoying in the way that some keyboards can be. There is no built-in adjustment to raise the back angle as you might have on other keyboards. The big problem for me is the key arrangement on the right-hand side. I know they had to minimize, but some of the decisions are truly questionable. The biggest issue for me is the Backspace key. It is small and normal-sized, instead of the wider key cap that you would normally find here. I tend to reach for this key a lot, and this throws me off. There are also some shifting around of the keys in the lower-right quadrant for space saving reasons. It just feels like things are in the wrong place. If you look at the larger models, you can see that many of these issues are resolved there, so it is strictly a space minimization trade off.

> 3 dayIt was heavier than what Im used to, and it felt comfortable to the touch. A definite upgrade compared to what I used to have. Id say that Ill probably buy this again if I were to choose.

Greater than one weekI absolutely love this keyboard. Its got matte like finishing. The keys are soft and have a perfect sound. Low pitch key hits. The keys are customizable online with the software including lighting colors. It can be wired or wireless. I cant wait to change out the key caps down the line!

> 3 dayThis ROYALAXE X ProtoArc R68 Wireless Mechanical Keyboard, Hot-swappable Wired/Bluetooth 5.0 is a fantastic wireless keyboard that would make any mechanical keyboard enthusiast happy. My first impressions of this keyboard were from unboxing it and hooking it up to use for the first time, theres 3 options for connecting this keyboard, either wireless through Bluetooth, wireless with the included dongle, or wired which is self-explanatory. This keyboard has a great heft to it that allows it to sit in place as you bang out keys on the linear Gateron Yellow switches. Throughout this keyboard I kept finding things that impressed me, like how smooth the switches were, or how high of quality the keycaps were. Ive built my own mechanical keyboards before, and Ive bought premade keyboards from basically every big name or little name player on the market, and this keyboard just kept reaffirming decisions I wouldve made had I made this keyboard myself. Almost every bit of this keyboard is well thought out and remarkably high quality, from the hot swappable switches, to the silky-smooth feel of the lubed switches, all the way down to the well done lighting and other visual goodies. Ive never heard of this company before this keyboard, but Im certainly taking notice now that I have. This is one of the best prebuilt mechanical keyboards Ive tested or owned, and in fact its the keyboard Im using to write this review on. Another aspect that I havent touched on yet but is probably important to mention is the smaller footprint of this keyboard since its only got 68 keys instead of the much larger full-size keyboards that have every key and numpad. I feel like 68 keys is a great middle ground between the much larger keyboards and the very minimalist keyboards that Ive tried but just have never liked having to set up so many commonly used keys to macros or other workarounds. This keyboard has everything I tend to use frequently, and the smaller size allowed me some extra room on my desk which is quite nice. Overall, this is an exceptional keyboard that does pretty much everything right and has surprised me daily with how good it has been to use and just how fun it is to type on it, especially as someone who wasnt a fan of linear switches prior to using this keyboard. This is a top-notch keyboard that I would highly recommend to enthusiasts and non-enthusiasts alike. 5/5 stars.

> 3 dayThis keyboard is decent. Gateron yellow switches are not bad. As for the typing experience, the keycaps they have make the typing on it terrible. I like that it’s wireless and the rgb pops but the keycaps ruin it. For the price there are better alternatives. Also color scheme isn’t a favorite but that’s personal preference

> 3 daySo cute and work very well. I just love all the colors on it and it is like a strobe rainbow effect. One thing about it is that it’s a little smaller then I thought it would be.

> 3 dayIm enjoying this keyboard, its only my second mechanical next to the Nuphy Air 75. I will use the Royal Axe for my MacBook Air when traveling. I also wanted to have a numeric keypad. Im not a gamer, more of a writer, so I wasnt concerned about size, even though it is bigger than the Nuphy. As mentioned, Im new to the keyboard scene so dont have much to go off of. I did need a wrist riser for more comfort as shown in pics. As a writer/designer, the look and color immediately helped my decision. I also saw other reviews online as well as got myself familiar with the switches it comes with. Its hefty which I like, not cheap. I wont do any mods to this unit, from my understanding it comes preluded. Keys do need a tad more force compared to my Nuphy, but thats ok. The price isnt outrageous, but I did have to add a wrist rest. Overall, Im very pleased with the look, feel, performance, connectivity, design, and function. I gave 4 stars on the GAMING, I really dont know so I wanted to keep it neutral.

> 3 dayI have to say that this is the best keyboard I have ever owned by far. Better than all my friends keyboards as well. Everything about it is awesome except for one thing, and that is that the keys lettering should have been clear so that the rgb would light them up. It is disappointing that they got so much right to the point that I do not want to replace the keycaps, but that leaves me with hard to see symbols at night, hence the 4 stars. If they had keycaps in this color combo with clear lettering I would immediately give this 5 stars. The keyboard feels premium. While not adjustable for incline, I find it to be an extremely comfortable angle. The weight is amazing. Very heavy, and stays put while in use as the rubberized feet are very grippy. The switches and keycaps along with the construction create a typing experience on par with a custom keyboard that would cost twice as much to build by hand. The stabilizers require nothing. It is an extremely quiet keyboard stock. I do like the switches, and was hesitant to replace them as I had originally intended when ordering (facilitated by this being hot swappable), but I did end up buying clicky switches as thats my preference. The switches it came with almost convinced me no to though. Rgb works flawlessly out of the box with no need in my mind for an application on the PC, wireless and wired modes all work great (though Ive had better range via 2.4ghz on other keyboards). The ease of use of the bluetooth shines here, switching between 3 different devices with a simple button press. Battery lasts about one or two computer sessions, so somewhere around 8 hours or more for me.
