If you have ever removed paint, rust and especially mill scale from steel then you know how quickly a flap disc plugs up. Well that is not a problem with rips through rust, paint and mill scale so fast its amazing and they last much longer than I expected. They work great on oxidized aluminum as well. These disks do not fit on the 4 1/2 grinder unless the guard is removed. Also, it was delivered to my front door instead of the garage like I ordered, I had to bother a neighbor to pick it up for me because I was not home.

I was removing paint and mill scale from steel before welding it. Ive never used anything like these items previously. They worked great. If I was doing a large area Id use a 7 grinder, but the 4.5 was fine for my smaller edges. They lasted a bit longer than I thought they would, but since its my first time I have no frame of reference. The value I scored low simply because these were priced higher than a bunch I saw later. Obviously, I have no idea of the lesser price quality difference, if any. Try them!

My local welding supply had a similar product that worked great, however were quite pricey. I decided to try these out and I am very impressed. Last as long as the one 3 times the price, maybe even longer. Unlike conventional grinding pads these do not take down the base metal once the rust is gone. Works well on rust, scale, paint, and body filler. Havent tried it out on anything else yet.

Good value. They last longer than the brand sold at the big box stores for less than half the price. I was skeptical at first so I only bought a single 5pk bundle. Once I knew this was a solid product I bought more. This will be my go to product from now on for stripping work.

Worked perfectly

Does what it says, removes paint like a champ. The only problem is that each wheel only removes about 1-2 square feet of paint before it wears all the way down to the disc. Would work great on small project like a bike or chair, but for removing paint from a larger surface, it is going to take a lot of these. At >$5 apiece, it’s an expensive solution.

Cuts fast

I was surprised with how well these discs work. I use them to remove paint off of a 1970 Opel GT. Typically I buy these from O’Reilly or Lowe’s, but these work just as good as those if not better! Not to mention for a fraction of the price compared to the others. These are quite durable too, I was able to do my drivers side door and part of the roof with just 1 disc. I would highly recommend these!!
