Visually its a stunning travel bag. Im looking forward to really testing it out when it comes to terrain and questionable weather. I did inspect the bag when I received it and wondered what type of material is at the bottom of the bag. Perhaps flimsy cardboard or some type of material I dont know about. For $50 I expect my purchase to be worth it, which brings me to my point. I was looking for my half roll of quarters in my new travel bag and could not find them. I knew which pocket I put them in and alas no quarters. I searched the bottom of the bag thinking maybe I put them there while organizing. Low and behold they were there, but underneath the material. The quarters managed to make a hole through the pocket and make a nest. Very disappointing as I have yet to take it outside and test the quality of the bag, it was sadly defeated in a short space of time by a half roll of quarters. Long story now short, the company needs to double check and reinforce all the stitching within this duffle bag.

This is a very nice duffle. Quality hardware, durable construction. Very pleased.

This is the travel nicest bag I’ve ever owned. I’m not one who thinks price implies quality. I believed expense implies a brand. With that said, I want quality and a great price. This bag exceeded my expectations right out of the box. It’s well built. The thick material gives me assurance that my belongings will not be falling out of the bottom. While that sounds like I’m trying to make someone laugh, it’s happened to me. The leather straps are the kicker for me. I already ordered a second for my son. Buy this bag. You won’t be disappointed. Cheers, everyone.

The feel and look of the bag are great, but I have used the bag for less than a year sparingly before the zippers stopped working. I am now unable to zip the bag shut, rendering it useless for any trips. Now I will need to look for a new bag elsewhere. Beware of long term durability of these bags. UPDATE: S-Zone reached out to me immediately after I posted my review and provided me with a new bag within days. I have used the bag over the past several weeks and it is holding up nicely. It has some minor changes from the old one I had but I dont mind them, as the bag still looks great. Like another reviewer mentioned, I can respect any company that stands behind their product and can offer excellent customer service. I wouldnt hesitate to purchase from them again knowing I will receive excellent customer service.

Title says it all. I like the bags size, interior pockets, and small exterior pockets as well. However, the main zipper consistently misaligns which is annoying as anyone can imagine.

Good quality canvas and leather straps for the price.

    Greater than one week

This bag appears to be very durable, but it doesnt seem quite as sleek or practical as Id thought from the description and some of the other reviews. First things first. The bag looks like it will last. My previous bag failed in two ways: the zipper jammed and started to tear away from the rest of the bag, and the piece of plastic and cloth attaching the handles and straps to the bag came apart. This bag looks much better than the other one. I think zippers will always be prone to jamming, but these zippers are nice and big, with metal teeth. The zipper for the main compartment also looks like its attachment to the bag is reinforced. So overall, the zippers look much better. Likewise, the straps and handles are attached to the bag itself not only with rugged-looking stitching, but also with rivets (?) that are probably stronger than the fabric itself. Im expecting this bag to last a long time. If you want to know how it actually stands up, you can ask me in three to five years. Another, more minor detail: the bag has what look like brass feet. (I hope theyre brass, and not copper like the description says, so that they dont turn green.) My old bag had rubber feet, half of which disappeared after a few years of fairly heavy use. This was a minor irritation at worst, but it looks like the new bag will do better. The feet are rounded, so it doesnt seem like theyd catch on anything. The one drawback I can think of is that if you were to drag this through gravel or something, maybe the feet could get scratched and end up with rough edges that could damage a wooden floor or surface. At the moment, though, they seem great. However, the bag is not everything I hoped it would be from the description. Its kind of hard to see from the photos in the description, but there are four loose leather straps hanging off of the bag. They appear to serve no real purpose, and theyre just waiting to get caught in a conveyor belt at the airport, or a car door, or another bags zipper, or . . . you get the idea. I guess you can cinch the buckles to make the bag slightly smaller (and more wrinkly), but for the most part, this seems like something that appears to be functional at first glance but actually serves no practical purpose, and I always find that irritating, to be honest. Its a fairly small detail, but Im planning to use this bag on a daily basis for several years, and details matter when somethings part of your daily life for a long time. And of course the bag has straps and handles that are also waiting to get caught in something, but why add four extra opportunities for this to happen? To be blunt, the bag is also uglier than it appears to be in most of the photos. Maybe it looks better when its really full, but the way Im using it, its wrinkly and floppy. I also think they put too many small pockets in. There are two pretty nice-looking zippers on the outside, but they lead to really small pockets. Another reviewer mentioned putting books in them, but theyre really too small for all but the smallest and slimmest of books. There are two zippered pockets on the inside that together form the sides of an open pocket (yes, its confusing), and two more oddly sized open pockets. Those open pockets on the inside are a little puzzling to me. Unless you have the bag crammed full, it seems like theyd be too loose for a pencil or loose change, and they seem too small for a book or a computers charger cable. Maybe theyre for your extra cell phones, if youre Walter White or something. Id prefer to have one or two simple internal pockets with zippers, and maybe a slightly larger external pocket for a water bottle. The way it is, though, all those medium-small pockets just add bulk for me: seemingly another design decision that looks good superficially, but doesnt actually make the bag better. On a positive note, the weird feature where you clip the bottom of the bag to the D-rings that the strap attaches to does seem well thought out. At first I was worried that this turns the D-rings sideways, which normally causes them to put a lot of concentrated strain on the sleeve containing them. However, in this case, it seems that theyre mainly transferring the strain from the clips on the bottom of the bag to the clips at the end of the strap, without putting significant strain on the leather sleeves holding D-rings in place. Let me return to the overall look of the bag, though. You could argue that the appearance isnt important, or that I should have paid more attention to the words casual life style in the description. However, the description also currently suggests that the bag is suitable for short business travel, and this bag would look ridiculous in a business setting. It would be completely out of place in a formal job interview or in court. If youre going on a personal trip with family or friends, it doesnt matter what your bag looks like, but unfortunately there are times when appearances make a difference. I was a little worried that four stars was too harsh for this bag, since it does appear to be very durable (time will tell) and well thought out in many ways, and the price is very competitive. However, I think that both the written description and the posted photos are slightly misleading (its not as pretty as in the pictures, and not really suitable for business use), and within hours of receiving it, I can already think of a few fairly obvious ways to make the bag better without increasing production costs (remove the pointless dangling leather straps and get rid of some of baroque system of pockets, and maybe make the bag a little stiffer). Although I expect to get a lot of good use from this bag, I dont think Ill buy another one when the time comes for a replacement. So four stars it is.

I bought this in 2017. It hold a lot of stuff, but it does get heavy! it isnt structured at the bottom so its kind of awkward to pack and probably why I over pack it. I used it as a carry-on on several trips, and its tough to carry through the different terminals while changing planes. Even my 20-something son commented on how heavy it is. Its a nice looking bag, but i dont like using it b/c of the weight (that may be entirely my fault b/c of overpacking, but it feels heavy even when its empty). Unfortunately, I actually hate using it and am now looking for something else.
