A Superior Product I traveled with this bag for two days aboard a train after having purchased it and it served me well. What is most impressive about it is its quality of materials and workmanship. This is a bag that will likely outlive any owner (you could give it as a baby-shower gift and that recipient will likely pass it down to his grandson.) The leather is supple and strong as well as being well-sewn-- the whole bag is strongly sewn. I am not encouraging its maker to advance the price on it but, actually, it should cost several times what is being asked for. It is a mans bag in that it is not light but not inconveniently heavy either. It has good capacity and give- can easily contain a weekend of (casual) clothes along with a pair of shoes and toiletry bag. The zipper is brass, strong, works well, and again well-sewn (I dont want to repeat myself but this bag is built the old-fashioned way and clearly meant to last for years.) The cloth is a rugged material. Appearance: Rich and classy at the highest level-- it is something youd expect to see Harrison Ford or Tommy Lee Jones throw into the back of their Land Rovers and drive off from the Dorchester. Ive read a few reviews from people who bought the bag and disliked it. One person called it garbage and mentioned that a zipper failed. Another reviewer also had problems with the zipper. Its hard to refute such reviews because, after all, everyone has their own experiences and I respect their reviews. I can only say that the zippers on my bag work smoothly and are strong. The materials that go into this bag, as Ive mentioned, are high quality as is the workmanship and its appearance. Maybe its a quality control issue with some bags coming out excellent and others not so, I do not know. I can only that the bag I bought was excellent in all respects. I can also say that I am very demanding in terms of my expectations of products purchased and this item measured up.

This is the travel nicest bag I’ve ever owned. I’m not one who thinks price implies quality. I believed expense implies a brand. With that said, I want quality and a great price. This bag exceeded my expectations right out of the box. It’s well built. The thick material gives me assurance that my belongings will not be falling out of the bottom. While that sounds like I’m trying to make someone laugh, it’s happened to me. The leather straps are the kicker for me. I already ordered a second for my son. Buy this bag. You won’t be disappointed. Having just received this item... its really a nice looking, sturdy bag. Ive now got tons of stuff in it with room left over. Its a definite handsome army green. I really like the way I can un-hook the long strap if I want, and the handles are very handy. Yeah...handy handles. ha I wouldnt hesitate at all to buy this bag. Just do it and dont look back. I do think the packaging was a little over-done because really, its not breakable, but... I did finally get it out of the bag it was in. This is a purchase I will not regret. Thanks to the maker.

So I bought this for a friend of mine to take on a quick getaway. They were very satisfied needless to say because they were able to fit all of their belongings, as well as had alot of space to pack more if needed. Ive been told that they cant wait to take it for a spin again...

QUALITY: The canvas material is nice and thick and feels very durable to the touch. The leather also feels high quality. Overall Im very impressed. It has a good weight to it too. When you pick it up it has some heft and feels sturdy without being bulky. CONCERNS: Im a tad worried that the zipper wont hold out, as Ive seen several reviews that say their zipper broke. It doesnt feel incredibly robust, so I find myself being a little gentle when opening and closing the bag. SIZE: Its a very generously sized bag. Its a bit bigger than I was imagining in my head, but it will be good for longer trips. It may be a too large for a weekend, unless of course you like to carry a lot of stuff, and its certainly too big for an overnight trip. I dont see this being an under-the-seat bag on a plane without having absolutely no leg room. You certainly wouldnt get away with carrying it on as a free of charge personal item. Its way too big for that.

Needed a new duffel for our hospital stay and this was perfect! Highly durable, tons of capacity, and looks great too! We will be using this for a all future weekend trips as well - highly recommend for weekend travels and expecting parents!
