Drive was very fast, while it lasted, but it died completely (no computer will recognize I even plugged in) after eight months. Lost a few days of work, and had to start over with a fresh install of Windows on a different drive. Sabrent support has been good so far, and Im returning it under warranty for a replacement. Not sure whether I would trust this brand again though - a crashing hard drive is not a fun thing.

This thing lasted a month. Then it croaked with no warning. It wont work in any M.2 slots on my board, but my other M.2 drive works fine. Thats a wonderful way to kick off a new product line, Sabrent!

Listen folks when you can get a Gen 4 4TB 5000Mb/s for under $350 there is absolutely ZERO reason 8TB Gen 4 should cost $1000

7100+ (seq read) 5400+ (seq write) in C.Diskm*rk, what else do you need to know? No heat throttling after 5 weeks. Expensive, but since Ill get the performance for the entire life of the drive, worth it!

Decided to save some money and picked up a WD drive without a heatsink. This worked like a charm and fit perfectly. Tip: When installing the NVME, be sure to move the screw nut and take the plastic part off of the heatsink so the adhesive can make direct contact with the drive.

For something that costs less and from a brand not many of us have heard of, Sabrent surpasses every single NVME m.2 SSD on the market, especially in write speeds. This is the new fastest SSD in the world.

Unsure what these other users are putting their drives through, but after months the speeds stay consistent as advertised and still at 99% health. Either take this or the 980 pro when it goes on sale but end of the day, great long-term PCIe Gen4 drive.
