Cats can’t open my linen closet doors anymore and sleep inside.

Finding a lock for bi-fold doors is all but impossible. I found this and decided to give it a try. While this is not exactly a lock, it does the job of holding the doors closed. The installation is simple...just open the door a bit and drop it over the top of one of the doors. (There is no drilling or tools necessary.) To close the door, use the drop-down handle to slide it to the center. This will keep the doors from opening. When you want to pass through, just slide it over either door and the door can then operate as usual. We use it to keep a pet out of certain areas of the house. It is made of clear acrylic plastic and does not stand out. The only thing I found was there is only a handle on one side. So, to lock/unlock from the other side you must reach up and slide the actual lock back and forth. This is not really a problem, however it could be improved by putting a dropdown handle on both sides of the unit. They come two to a package so I just installed the second one with the handle on the other side. Mine slides easy and is not inconvenient.

Works well. I use it to keep a 10 month old from opening folding closet doors. Works fine. Easy to slide back and forth.

I bought a set of these with low expectations to keep the cat from getting into the laundry room where he gets stuck behind the dryer. They fit and install easily with no tools and operation is great for day to day use. I have since ordered 3 more sets for the rest of the doors in the house.

This is a great child lock for closet door. Super easy for an adult to move but keeps a 6 and 3 year old out.

This product is amazing. I have one cat that like to relax in my linen closet. He will pull all the linens off of the second shelf and then climb up and make himself at home. With this installed the door does not budge. Thanks to the genius that created this.

Cant believe how long it took me to discover these. I was taping doors shut to prevent my too-smart cat from letting herself inside to chew all my shoelaces. This is such a simple and elegant solution. Wish I discovered these years ago!! Fit perfectly with my bifold doors.
