> 3 dayThis is just what we needed to keep our 20 month old grandson out of the pantry. It was easy to install and easy to use.

> 3 dayThese are great! We have a 2 year old that loves to climb and also loves food. Our pantry uses accordion doors so we use these to keep him out of there and they work fantastic. They do require a little bit of shuffling to slide over the hinge of the door but they do definitely stay in place no matter how much the doors get shaken.

> 3 dayMy 1.5 year old was getting into my pantry and pulling out various items (and opening package and just in general leaving food items all over the floor). These put a stop to it! He was mad but Mommy and Daddy are very happy! It was super easy to put them together and they come with a separate piece that you can attach in the event the folding doors are thinner. We didn’t need those. The clear plastic is great and your eye doesn’t immediately go to them first when you look around the kitchen.

> 3 dayIf there is any drawback, it might be the length of the plastic rod. My wife is barely 5 feet tall. She had a little difficulty reaching the rod. Someone shorter than her would have difficulty sliding the unit to the unlock position. A couple of additional inches would have been great. Other than that, it works great.

> 3 dayClear plastic is not noticeable: definitely strong enough to deter cats from opening bi fold doors (dog doesnt try)

02-06-2025This safety device to keep bifold doors closed is amazing! Our bifold doors are on our laundry room and at the top of our steep basement stairs. My 18 month old grandson wants to get into everything. These really work!

Greater than one weekFinding a lock for bi-fold doors is all but impossible. I found this and decided to give it a try. While this is not exactly a lock, it does the job of holding the doors closed. The installation is simple...just open the door a bit and drop it over the top of one of the doors. (There is no drilling or tools necessary.) To close the door, use the drop-down handle to slide it to the center. This will keep the doors from opening. When you want to pass through, just slide it over either door and the door can then operate as usual. We use it to keep a pet out of certain areas of the house. It is made of clear acrylic plastic and does not stand out. The only thing I found was there is only a handle on one side. So, to lock/unlock from the other side you must reach up and slide the actual lock back and forth. This is not really a problem, however it could be improved by putting a dropdown handle on both sides of the unit. They come two to a package so I just installed the second one with the handle on the other side. Mine slides easy and is not inconvenient.

Greater than one weekThe one thing that stands out about these closet door locks is that they are longer than any other one you will find. Most of the namebrand ones are very short only like four or 5 inches. Since these are much longer if a kid is sitting there wiggling the door that thing will not slide over like the little ones can do. It makes it much more sturdy lock for kids who are trying hard to get in the closet.

02-06-2025I tried them and had a hard time getting them to work on my doors. partly because the insert to help it hold the thickness of my door wasnt easy to use/adjust. also, I am short so its hard to slide it back and forth for me.
