We got these for rock painting and they work great! The color is sufficiently thick so it shows up well. And the colors are as represented in the picture (of the caps).

The five colors that write like you are seeing them under black light if you use a dark-colored paper to write on, are so much fun. And the other, regular color gel pens have a great ink flow that is thicker than most gel pens, and create a nice, not-too-thin line. I highly recommend this product. Kids love them, and so do all my co-workers who are in their twenties through forties! The black light-looking pens makes writing notes more fun, and my nieces and nephews love drawing with all these pens.

**UPDATE** Do NOT leave the lids off these pens!!!! They are basically ruined if you do. I have about 5 from the pack I had to toss. I tried putting the cap back on for a couple days thinking that would help, and it did NOT. Changed from a 5 star to 3 for that reason. Normally gel pens have issues working more than 5 minutes...but NOT these! I love these for work. The colors are bright and vibrate and really show my personality through my work. Beware; does take a moment to dry, so be cautious of that. I have learned to blow as I write :) GREAT ITEM AND PRICE!

They are such a blast from the past and work better than I remembered. I work in a doctors office and use these to write notes on discharge summarys to make details stand out!
