> 24 hourI have a first aid certification, and a first responder level healthcare provider certification. Im also a volunteer firefighter. My grandfather fell one Sunday morning, and before picking him up, I noticed a deformity in his wrist. It looked like a pretty good fracture, and it turned out that it was. I keep a sam splint in my first aid kit, and I made a wrist splint out of it and wrapped it in cohesive tape. It worked flawlessly. Im sure any EMT who has used a sam splint would tell you that it is a great thing to keep in a first aid kit. Immobilizing fractures is extremely important. the sooner the better. Definitely pick one up. theyre re-usable too.

> 24 hourThis is a reusable splint that feels very sturdy, due to the metal strip inside the orange foam, which can be molded around the area you are splinting. It comes with directions on the outside of the foam, and you are able to practice splinting, sanitize the splint, and then roll it back up again for storage.
