22-11-2024But, how to you screw up an on off switch. They opted for a software on/off sw. Push the button, scroll to the on/off function and push the button again. Easy enough right, unless you are using Windows 10 where you shut down the computer from the on screen start key. You have to shut the computer down and wait for it to power all the way off then go through the push button ritual to power the monitor off. Just because you can do something doesnt mean you should, newer is not always better. Im just part of the microwave generation, if something takes more than 5 seconds its taking too long. Information and support came up a little short. Printed info. included with the screen was lacking and when I tried to register online it wouldnt accept the m/n, s/n combination from my monitor label or from the software. After online chat and a call to tech support they gave up and told me the warranty is good even if I cant register it.

> 3 dayIt is larger than my 17 laptop screen and when set on stand it lets me set my laptop to one side, place a keyboards in front of me and prevents me from having to keep my neck angled down. I just wish it had sound so I could use it as a TV.

> 3 dayEmits a high-pitched whining noise straight out of the box. Good graphics and feels sturdy, though.

Greater than one weekI have used this monitor enough to say that Im glad I got the curved screen. To get the same expansive view with a flat screen would take about a 30 unit. Because of the corner position of my desk with credenza, it ended up 3 or 4 inches closer to me than the 24 flat monitor it replaced, which was partially tucked under the credenza. My viewing distance is about 24. If I lean forward a couple of inches to view details with my bifocals, I can make out the pixels; but all text, pictures, and videos are plenty sharp for my viewing. The colors are excellent, the blacks are quite good. I have separate speakers which are better than those on board. The screen did come with a single vertical cyan line about a 1/2 inch from the left side. It shows up primarily when the screen is white. Its a minor annoyance that I have chosen to live with. Other than everything seems to work as advertised. Installation was easy except that I had to crawl under my desk to plug into my desktop computer. I found some dust that had been down there for a while.

> 3 dayok, i already have another monitor dedicated to Gaming. this monitor will be specifically used for internet windows and some videos. my MAJOR complaint is how you MUST remove the back panel to remove the desk mount. that is NEVER noted or explained in the directions in any way, you have to google it. aside from that i am pleased with the monitor so far. i STRONGLY advise you to cut the brightness down to 50%. that 100% is enough to be a flashlight in your face in a dark room once you open google. there are no intuitive controls, the power button is a directional pad/button. so that took a minute to figure out. i will likely be getting a second unit to accent the build and offer more screen space. TECHNICALLY this is a 24 inch resolution stretched to a 27 inch screen, so YOU WILL see some minor distortion and maybe some fuzzy print. you will have to alter that via the setting available in the unit, or through the GPU software settings. i am usually pleased with Samsung products, so i am happy that this monitor keep the expectations.

> 3 dayThis is probably a user error because I am a 20-year-old girl. However, for the life of me, I cannot get the speakers on this monitor to work. I can tell that my computer is trying to push sound, as that is what it says the speakers are out-putting to. However, I cannot make it work on the computer. Also, I cannot find the sound buttons. It might have helped if I looked it up or found a manual, however, I havent. So in terms of a great monitor, it is awesome. It feels luxurious and is very easy on the eyes. I am running it off of my laptop and props to my laptop too, because she runs like a champ. Anyway, if anyone could tell me how to get the speakers on the monitor to work? I would be grateful, although the likelihood of me coming back to this post or this review page is extremely low. I will suffer in silence. thanks for reading.

> 3 dayI bought this monitor specifically because I get migraines and am very light-sensitive. I loved that it has an eye-saver mode. However…. It was a bit too bright for me with it on, and I couldn’t reduce the brightness. I ended up turning off the eye-saver mode and just using it on lower brightness. It’s a nice monitor, but I really really really wish I could both have eye-saver on and dim brightness at the same time.
