Samsung makes replacing a HDD with a SSD easy with its migration software. The proformance of an SSD is insanely good. I upgraded an older computer into a gaming rig with this SSD and it makes all the difference

This drive is everything others say. Its lightning fast, and the Samsung software download made the changeover easy. The only issue I had was when I put it in an external housing and connected it via USB, the computer wont assign a drive letter to it because it hasnt been partitioned or formatted. You need to use Windows disk management to assign a drive letter. At once you do that, the migration software will handle the rest. It you are going to leave it in the housing as a backup drive, you just need to do the next step and format it so that you can use it for storage.
