After 4 months It started to write gibberish in the headers of each file and whole directories were no longer accessible. I thought it was a virus at first or ransomware. My work was completely borked. I ran the check disk utility and it had corrupt segments. I fixed them and it wiped out 1/2 of the data. But then 2 months later it started corrupting files again and eventually failed completely. I lost weeks of work. This is NOT the SSD to rely on for important data. I have 9 yr old Seagate barracuda drives that are still in operation that are more reliable than this HD.

As recommended below, if you have a samsung ssd and intend to use this one as your new drive; download the data migration software firs and then when he drive is installed, proceed to use the magic software.

Great product

First the advertised claims are completely false. You can’t just install the SATA drive and turn it on. The drive comes unformatted so your PC won’t even recognize it exists. There are NO instructions regarding this.

Bought to boost an older PS4 Pro to load games faster. Having recently purchased a PS5, I can honestly say the Pro (not base PS4) is almost as quick to load. It is close enough for me to say upgrading to a PS5 now wasnt necessary. If youre thinking about breathing new life into your PS4, especially a Pro, its a no brainer. Cost would be the only deciding factor. If you dont have a Pro, I would use the money to get a PS5.

It was very easy to install and transfer the storage. It works great for gaming and normal use. I’m very happy for how much storage I have now!
