I picked this up as a spare drive for my NUC9i7 in case I really hated Windows 11. My intent was to replace the boot drive and install Windows 10 on this drive. I didnt have to do that, so I just use it for VM storage, which makes them nice and speedy. Lots of space and is wicked fast.

Would it bankrupt samsung to include standoffs and screws with their m.2 drives? Good thing my board has a standoff built in. I still had to find m2 screw. Drive works. Cant comment on speed because mine is in m.2 sata slot. It works at sata speed as fast as my other sata ssds. My first samsung branded ssd. Cant comment on reliability but so far after a few weeks of use all is good. Theres about 50GB provisional storage. Its my fist m.2 ssd and first 500gb capacity for a primary drive. It may seem like a lot but even for an average user like myself its not enough. Im looking into 1TB for my next drive. For the money samsung should include standoff, screw, heatsink.

I wish all PCs could support nvme SSD drives only. Sadly we need to compensate with HDD for extra internal storage.
