Samsung Electronics SM-T830NZALXAR Galaxy Tab S4 with S Pen, 10.5, Gray

This is my first real tablet. Im owned plenty of desktops, laptops, and Kindle devices over the years, but never saw much use for a tablet. Assuming the technology should have finally caught up with tablets to make them more than just portable notebooks, I decided to try this device when it became available through Vine. Im underwhelmed.

I bought this to replace an iPad that was just too old and too slow. I use my tablet primarily for meetings and travel. I love the screen off notes when Im in meetings, to jot down any and everything I need to remember. When I travel I love the ability to save movies onto a 128gb sd card and pop that in without having to worry about slowing down my tablet or running out of storage space. Im sure it has way more capability than I use it for, but it certainly meets my fairly pedestrian needs very well.

This is such a great tablet. Display and functionality amazing. Just got the keyboard, very useful. Have quite a few Samsung products; the S-pen is my most important feature. Enough improvement over the Tab S3 in my opinion.

Looks new and came with keyboard. I am 100% satisfied.

Tablet provides all functions excepted from Samsung. My only gripe would be the touch screen appears not to be a sensitive as older tablets. Video, sound quality and battery life are great.

Supports Microsoft Office well. I also use Canvas, an online teaching tool which is supported. Im a mouse user (yes, old school), Samsung makes a good Bluetooth mouse which I use. I installed an inexpensive SD card and can easily load all my office files for the numerous classes I teach. The stylus (no additional charge) is very helpful, freeing me from the blackboard. I added a keyboard which attaches easily to the tablet and does not require separate charging. The DeX feature is interesting and does offer a similar toolbar to my laptop. The video quality is great so I connect directly to my widescreen TV, I no longer subscribe to cable TV. Prints on my wireless printer with a Samsung printing app.

It worked fine for the few months I had been using it. Then suddenly, without warning, it simply wouldnt turn on. Not even using the manufacturers suggested instructions, lots of testing, and countless online videos. Samsung, you let me down. I have sold my family on Samsung products over competitors; however, now I feel a bit sheepish. Ill never buy another electronic device without the insurance offered at check out. Extremely disappointed.
