Professional musician - Symphony, Natl Theater tours, Jazz, Recording Studio, you name it. Ive been heckled for years by friends and colleagues whove read music off of their IPads (call me old fashioned?). Several of my employers are now making reading parts off of a tablet as mandatory in their contracts, so I figured it was time to up my sheet music game. After a lot of research (and not willing to go the Apple/Mac route), I found the S7+ was a little cheaper, and can do everything I need it to for hundreds of dollars less than newer models. Ive used Samsung phones for years, had no problem buying their tablet. Big bonus = SD slot for extra storage (up to 1 TB!?) to keep my built in memory low, and can store a TON of music for work, private lessons, etc. Im actually a little embarrassed for not having tried this years ago. Great product, very easy to use if youre already familiar with their phones, Bluetooth pedal compatibility a plus. No headphone jack, no ability to completely turn off screen turn-off/timeout (10 minutes is the longest option if left untouched) are the only cons. Not using this for anything other than reading sheet music, easy to shoot/scan pages, convert to PDF without any apps, great sheet music reader available for Samsung users (MusicSheets). S-Pen is awesome for making notes, markings in music, and is magnetic (nice to stick to the music stand for easy access). Big fan, thank you Samsung for another great product!

Honestly kind of disappointed by the tablet. It really pretty but you could neve hold it in one hand. the bezel is just too small and the backing is too slippery for you to hold onto it. So I got a case..... which they all suck including the Samsung keyboard one as they do nothing to address the bezel issue. There is no palm rejection so god forbid you thumb slips onto the screen. If that happens none of your inputs with your fingers register. The aspect ratio of the screen actually makes it pretty small in comparison to other tablets in the same price point to the point that it almost feels un-natural to take nots one because its the same height (or similar too) as a piece of paper but narrower by like 1.5 which does make a big difference with how it feels .Great sound. Utterly fantastic screen in terms of resolution and refresh rate. Like its beautiful, great colors but just not big enough. Apps are meh as to be expected from a tablet with android and the os is a year behind standard android which is weird to me.

This is my fourth or fifth Samsung tablet that I have owned, and they all were great. This is why I continue to purchase Samsung products. This tablet I can use in conjunction with my smart phone. I just got this tablet and I love it.

I took this tablet because I need to read and do things on a tablet that are not so easy to do on a Fire. Its like Amazon crippled its Fire, so I had to go with something else. For safety against malware, I use only trusted brands. since Samsung is cheaper than iPad, I chose Samsung. Turns out that this is a very nice tablet. I wish the fingerprint/power button was easier to find by feel. Im still getting used to fumbling for it. It recognizes my finger instantly; I just dont always touch it on the first try.

i just opened the tablet today and there was no plastic film protecting the screen on the tablet. Does anybody know if there should have been one? I purchased this device as NEW and do not want to pay full price for something that somebody else already used.

Ive owned many Android tablets since the first Nexus 7. This is the most responsive and best looking. It is a pleasure to use whether for browsing the web or writing essays.
