> 3 dayI purchased two of these monitors for my new PC build. Initially they were really good, but the image quality was kinda meh. Now, 2 weeks later my warranty wears off and 2 days ago one of my screens went randomly blank. Messed with NVIDIA options and when I change the refresh rate to 60hz, it works. So basically it stopped supporting 144hz or any hz over 60. On top of this, there is screen tearing even when 60hz is set. Cherry on top is that Samsungs website is hell and getting support is impossible. Never buying Samsung monitors ever again.

> 3 dayA pretty unremarkable monitor from Samsung. While advertised as being a gaming monitor, there are far better options available around the same price - ones that offer the latest port standards, IPS panels, and brighter displays, all without the backlight bleed that this monitor suffers from. The Odyssey G3 does bring some high than average contrast, but without a brighter display its pretty much wasted. TL;DR - Nothing to see here, folks. Move along... SPECS: * FHD 1920x1080p resolution * VA led panel * 27 inch display diag. * 250 cd/m2 (yikes!) * 144Hz refresh rate * 1ms response time * AMD FreeSync Premium technology * 3-sided borderless design (nearly) * height adjustable stand with 360 degree rotation andd pan/tilt * VESA compatible * 3.5mm headphone output jack * 4000:1(typ) contrast ratio * inputs: HDMI DisplayPort ver1.2 (yikes!) D-SUB (seriously...SERIOUSLY?!) PROS: * Great contrast ratio, 4x that seen in most monitors at this price . * The stand offers a tremendous range of adjustment along with a stable base. * Design is sleek, and the nearly bevel-free display looks nice. * Great response time. * Nice color. * AMD FreeSync Premium available to thhose using AMD graphics Cards CONS: * Brightness leaves quite a bit to be desired. This alone is enough for me to cast aside this monitor if I were considering it for a new purchase (especially for gaming!) * 27 inches at only 1920x1080p is simply too darn big and pixelated (again, especially for gaming! or anything else really) * 144Hz isnt anything to write home about these days, for gaming or otherwise. * BACKLIGHT BLEED ...grrrr. Really cant believe we still have to deal with brand new monitors having so much bleed around the edges in 2021. * No HDR * NO DISPLAY PORT 1.4 ...instead youre stuck with ver 1.2, which doesnt support any of the incredible features that came with versions 1.4 and beyond. ant remember the last time I saw a gaming monitor with such an outdated DP version * D-SUB port...um, yes...seriously. Most of you probably dont even know what kind of input that is. EXACTLY. * no outputs. * VA panel BOTTOM LINE: Look, this is an okay monitor. But if youre in the market for a gaming monitor in 2021 this one doesnt qualify as an option you shouuld be considering. Honestly, at $250(ish) Im not sure there is a target demographic or suitable use case for this thing. Mediocre, outdated, and not nearly bright enough. The stand is nice, Ill give it that. But its not hard to find better options at this price, and I cant thinkk of a price Id be willing to actually pay for this monitor. 3-stars because it does technically fulfill its role as a monitor.

> 3 dayI use this monitor with eye saver mode that really protects my eyes even after hours of work day. Max possible refresh rate shows 120 Hz for me. Either theyre lying on Amazon page or the seller sent older model to me. Im not going to return this but unhappy with this fact.

Greater than one weekThis is a normal sized monitor with fast frame rate and a highly adjustable stand. The stand is not tool free to set up (6 screws are included, screwdriver required). It is pretty sophisticated with many adjustable angles. It’ll take up quite a bit more desk space due to needing to accommodate up to 30 degrees of rotation while maintaining stability. Tilting forward and backward and elevating it up and down are quite simple – simply push and it will stay at its new position. There is enough resistance to let you put a webcam and other light objects on top. Rolling it like a steering wheel, the monitor will rotate 90 degrees to each side. There are notches in the center position to ensure that the monitor is level when you want it to be. If you frequently move the left/right sides forward and backwards, the monitor offers a way to do it without having to lift the monitor or scrape the desk. Using with a laptop as a 2nd display, the display has to be manually configured to 144hz. Both HDMI and Displayport work fine. Viewing things at 144hz, I got a bit of motion sickness initially, which means it is working. The matte screen performs well against reflections. Nothing particularly wrong with the colors. I didn’t spot any dead pixels. I measured 28W of power consumption at max brightness – normal power use for a monitor of this size. The L plug may work well or poorly depending on where you plug it in. I hope that in the future more lower power devices such as monitors are powered by smaller and more space efficient type C. 1080p is a bit low for a 27” screen but also absolutely good enough for enjoying entertainment, especially if you sit a little bit further away. It leaves something to be desired in terms of screen real estate for productivity. For most people, resolution should be more important than framerate. But high framerate has a benefit even if you aren’t a playing competitive games – aside from feeling ever so smoother, if you record the screen this will also allow you to see smoother slow motion replays. For people who have eyesight problems, higher framerates may also offer an alternative way to increase enjoyment. This monitor has a white power indicator LED light on the right side. I like that you don’t see it when you are directly in front of the monitor. Some other monitors put the LED in front which is annoying for using the monitor. The menu is not difficult to navigate but you will likely be using the buttons by touch as the buttons are behind the monitor. There is a harmless ~9mm of bezel. At $269.99, price is about normal for a monitor of this feature set. If you’re looking at 144hz then frame rate is obviously important to you, and this monitor works well delivering high frame rates.

> 3 dayTerrible monitor. Advertised as 1ms, I believe RtIngs tested it at more like 7-10 ms response time, so terrible motion blur and black smearing. Contrast is great but for what? Outdated display port, horrible gsync compatibility (flickering at lower fps). Almost returned this one but was moving and it would have been a hassle. Now it sits on a desk and collects dust. Replaced it with a much cheaper 240 hz, dell ips that was also $50 cheaper. Trash

> 3 dayIt’s a beautiful monitor at first glance. Though after extensive setting adjustment, the best this monitor can perform will be sub-par for competitive FPS players. It’s a solid monitor if at a lower price point, though the competitors at this price point are likely to outperform this monitor by leaps and bounds. If you’re looking to play a game like Genshin Impact or Skyrim, this will get the job done. But if you’re a fast-paced Apex, CS, COD, etc. player, this is not the monitor for you, not at this price point.
